CrazyKopCorner Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 Only consolation is that he has to be better than Cooper and RVFN

Lambert09 Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 (edited) I personally don’t think you can criticize wilders campaign too much for last year. They essentially hit a bad patch of form at the wrong time with the results in the image below. This also happened to Enzo, both sides bounced back but for Sheffield it wasn’t enough. And the playoffs are always a roulette. The question is more how he fits the club and I’m not sure his methods would work here. He has always carried the essence of a league 2 manager and I’m just not convinced that would work for us. it would be the same as when Holloway rocked up here, just an awful fit for the club. how can we be progressive then go for someone who’s shaped from 90s football. I just can’t see it being anything other than a disaster. hope I’d be wrong, but my gut tells me this is a terrible appointment Edited 6 July 2025 by Lambert09 1

Tomek Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 I’m praying the only reason Wilders name is out there is to make a Dyche appointment more palatable. 1 4
mozartfox Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 This kind of rumor is forcing me into asking AI for a gallows design. If this true, then Rudders definitely needs to go. He is the Rachel Reeves of DoFs.
Tiny earl Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 From what I heard from a colleague who knows Ian Woan, we won’t pay him and Dyche what they want. They also feel they’ll be at a premier club by Christmas! Now that’s optimistic or delusional. 1 1

Gazza M Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 Hoping the other manager links are smoke screen for Rohl. I wouldn't be against Wilder as I think he is decent at Championship level if they can't get Rohl. Need either appointed by Friday really so players know where they stand now.

Foxdiamond Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 I don't expect the club to give regular updates on their intentions but the complete lack of anything whatsoever is surely damaging 2
FoxesTez Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 They were interviewing in London on Friday. Hopefully means we might see some movement soon.
alanf0x Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 When they interviewed king yesterday he did say, let's see what happens over the weekend, when asked about next week. May mean something close in the pipeline... or more than likely the club aren't telling him anything, so his guess is as good as ours!!

LCFCCHRIS Posted 6 July 2025 Posted 6 July 2025 (edited) June 16th and June 20th for Enzo and cooper… We’re running quite late even by our standards Edited 6 July 2025 by LCFCCHRIS

Kept Bournemouth up because we were dog muck (Cooper benefitted from that too) and then after a solid start at Wolves he fell apart and was set to relegate them I'd you guessed it, we weren't so pony. I'd be very nervous with him but he starts well at clubs at least. 1
