Anyone got any evidence of past ownerships of clubs similar to ours that have had success in the modern era, then overseen mind blowing decline, initially refused to make ruthless changes to learn from our mistakes, eventually made such changes and steered the club back to something their fanbase can be proud of?

unfortunately mate, the closest parallel to our ownership is portsmouth

That bits just not true. The owners have for many years spent far less than we think in terms of net spend. Of the current PL 20, were 19th for net spend over the last 5 years. Over the last 10 years, we're 16th of the current PL 20. That's despite having a full stadium for all of those 10 years, with the 12th biggest stadium. If anything  then, it shows how badly they've done at giving out high salary contracts - which is fundamentally a Vichai/Top and Rudkin problem. This season it's 40m net spend after last years -50m and massive wage savings.

As for investing in the club, what have they done other than clearing debt they themselves accrued, which will be in their long term interest anyway... LCFC took out loans for the pointless training facility. The stadium hasn't been expanded despite years in the top half of the PL, assets on and off the pitch have regressed significantly, they developed the club shop to sell more tat, built a statue for themselves and a garden for themselves, retained Belvoir Drive for 5 years so we had TWO training grounds... I fail to see how they invest in LCFC above and beyond almost all the other PL clubs and only initially invested as a get rich quick scheme.

Can't quite understand, the criticism re the garden and the statue?  Hate KP all you like, but, a remembrance garden and statue to our late chairman shouldn't be admonished.

All for people expressing themselves how they like and I hope others respect me in the same way.

I can't get behind 'King Power Out'. They continue to invest in the club - £80m odd spent last summer, after years on years of spending more than we recouped, writing off debts and investing in local charities.

Yes almost all of that recent spend has been wasted, but it's the people making the decisions on who to buy we should criticise, not the guy signing the cheques.

There is definitely accountability needed for Top and his family, he has shown far too much loyalty and faith in poor appointments. I think we should be focusing our efforts on getting those executives changed, not calling for new owners.

I'm sorry but it also feels crass to be sending a message like that in the airspace where the man's dad lost his life in service to the club.

Were you happy when they sacked Rodgers and Ranieri?

Funny how some of our fans happily walk past those decisions but won't have a bad word said against Kp.

Wasn't criticising, just pointing to the visible extend of their investment beyond poo bags for Vestergaards dog.

What happens to the banner afterwards?

Is it the sort of thing that gets re-used or is it up for grabs?

Really?  80 60 and a few 50m transfers out plus prem money coming in and we are fvcking potless Top/KP are at fault for everything.

Run by an idiot with idiots in wrong positions. Top has to grow a pair and run a business or fvck off.

And replace them with...whom?

In case you'd forgotten, Leicestershire isn't exactly flush with football-mad billionaires..

Find me any football club in the Premier League where the directors or owner are local to the club. It simply doesn't happen these days. We're all run by foreign investors and the DoF role is given to the first candidate through the door who can tell the difference between Ronaldo and Ronald McDonald.

I mean if you turn down requests for a Banks statue because there's nowhere safe enough to place it and then after the chairman dies you discover health and safety isn't actually that arsed about statue placement, it's definitely worth a negative comment. Can't fault the garden topiary though.
