Just been thinking - is it that Top is happy he's found a "yes" man that will protect him, soak up all the negativity and generally toe the line and he's happy to have a front guy getting most of the negative attention and difficult questions?

When I saw RVN pre Man City the guy looked like he had aged 10 years since he started.

When Enzo, Cooper left and even Rodgers did, you get a sense that everything is swept under the carpet and agreements are made not to talk negatively about the board.

Even better for Top now as he has a guy that's slowly falling apart but will not lay a finger on the bigger problem. Him.

Maybe this comes through inexerience. Imagine NFP or someone like Harry Redknapp/Big Sam putting up with what's going on? They'd have spilled the beans in days about the sh*tshow!

I think Top was getting concerned about more experienced managers kicking off in the background with him giving him a headache and decided upon someone like RVN to basically pay to leave him alone and take the flack.

It's the only logical explanation I can think of to why he's still in a job!

Vichai was the reason we won the league and got to where we did as a club, been down hill ever since the tragic accident.

Top should probably sell and at the same time Rudkin stands down.

Top certainly likes to be the centre of attention when things go right. Hence sitting with the fans at Chelsea away 2016 and being on the pitch for fa cup final day.

Im guessing we cant afford to sack him for PSR this financial year so we’re waiting until 1st july when changes will happen. I bloody hope so anyway. If Top thinks this is the bloke to take us back after his performances this season then hes more deluded then we thought

I think the wheels has already started to fall off under Vichai to a degree. Puel steadied that ship and put in solid foundations for us to go again.

We captured lightning in a bottle with the Premier league win. That squad was incredible but we saw the following season we struggled with losing Kante, Hugh getting injured etc

We never really know what goes on behind the scenes.

We have seen from subsequent head coaches now the call for a refresh of players. We’ve laboured ourselves with such a financial burden player wise, with them being overpaid and is owing millions more than they’re worth, that we can’t get rid of them until the expire and leave.

We’ve basically been trying to swim with concrete shoes on for years. That started in the Vichai era, as we’ve looked after players quite well. Matty James is a great example of that.

Football is a ruthless business and the most successful teams have always operated like that. I know it’ll annoy people, however you can see why teams like Chelsea don’t give long contracts to players that are 30+.

Whilst Vardy isn’t costing us £££££s in a transfer fee, if his wages are the rumour £140k per week, that’s £7.2m per year. If our turnover is around £170m for this year due to being in the Premier League, he’s literally costing us 4% of our turnover for a player that should in reality only be playing cameos.

Don’t even get me started on the farce of the Skipp and Edouard deals! As they’re mind boggling.

This is why we have no head room due to PSR, we don’t make enough money to be at the top table. Then what we do have, we make stupid decisions with. It’s like having £1000 income per month, driving around in a Lamborghini, then wondering why you can’t afford to drive anywhere.

I just think Top has largely lost interest as he’s preoccupied elsewhere for now. King Power as a business is expanding in Thailand. He’s spinning bigger plates now than just us. You can see in the King Power 2025 Town Hall from a few weeks ago, he’s actually having to do some work!

RVN will likely go at the end of the season. Reality is, why waste more money if he has a break clause for nothing in his contract to go for £0 if relegated.

The thing if they sell Leicester, it’s their biggest marketing tool. Even the Championship is watched my millions of people, so the brand will still be visible globally. Maybe that’s all we are to them now!

Isn't that what we've always been, from the moment they aquired us we became KPFC globally with any reference to our history ripped out of the stadium.

KP like a lot of the media adhere to football beginning in 1992

I hope they have learnt going forward:

This has certainly been INTEGRAL to why we struggled since we went down in 23.  So they have done it themselves.  But at some point the approach has to be:  e.g. Soumare

Yes we we want to buy you BUT your 1st year contract is £30k or £40k per week NOT £70-80k, if you don't like it we will look elsewhere, till you prove yourself.

But I'm not holding out hope, they gave Choudry & Vestergaard repeat lengthy contracts after having failed numerous times at Premier League Level, I think 95% of fans would say we'll look elsewhere.

And at 26 Edouard @ £90k per week is a starter, and how many games has be played?  Businesses sack people for 1 decision like that, who is responsible?

RVN has realised the mess and is just taking the money till he can go OR he gets a payoff.  I mean we haven't scored FOREVER, the ire is moving from the Board to the manager.

I mean this is on the BBC today!!!  Embarrasing:

Operation 'target Leicester' continues - FPL tips and team of week

Aside from winning the league, our two 5th place finishes, FA Cup win and Community Shield win all came after Vichai had died.

I think King Power were lucky Pearson wanted to come back. If that not had happened then they'd still throwing silly money around in the Championship. I also think that the whole setup under Pearson was that good that the owners (and managers after) benefited from it. Genuinely without Pearson I think we'd have gone nowhere under King Power anyway.

Exactly.

Pearson built a back room setup that was the foundation for everything that followed.

And Ranieri. People act like he never even existed. We wouldn’t have won the league with Pearson’s tactics.

He should come back in an advisory role or DoF or whatever back room role he wants. He’s one of our most important managers and ‘gets’ us.
