If City appoint Rohl, I expect it will wait until he has negotiated his exit from Wednesday.

Copied from local paper speculating about their new manager (article 30 June):

With talks between Sheffield Wednesday and Danny Röhl ongoing amid hopes the saga over his future comes to an end sooner rather than later, the markets are already priced-up and out there. The Owls are in the midst of crisis, with financial issues having ripped the heart out of their pre-season preparations.

The really good part of all of this that we shouldn't overlook is that due to all this trouble at Wednesday, at least one of the relegation slots is already filled by default.

Why would that affect us?

Yes incredibly they are a bigger basket case than us.

Because our boardroom situation is apparently on par with Sheffield Wednesday and our playing squad, the majority of which dominated this league 18 months ago, is no longer capable of surviving in it this time around 🚨

Not sure why you are worrying about the bottom 3.

Not sure that its quite this dramtically bad, but I do agree that those who think we'll be right up there are being far more optimistic than the evidence currently suggests we might have a reasonable expectation to be. I think we are easily good enough even with a points deduction to stay out of trouble at the bottom.

Putting the board and manager situation to one side, we have some decent players but we dont know for certain who will be here and who will not. Once we get a bit closer to the start of the season we'll have a better idea (A statement of the 'bleedin' obvious I know). Personally I worry most about the lack of a consistent goal scorer to lead from the front. Daka has never shown he's quite got it, although tbf I'm never sure weve really played to his strengths

We'd need an unprecedented points deduction for relegation to even be a possibility. (i'm talking 35-40 points).

I don't think it'd be like our last time here but I feel the league is weaker. Ipswich I think should be favourites, Sheffield Utd have potentially ballsed up by ripping apart what they did last season by getting rid of Wilder. Should have stuck with him like Leeds with Farke.

I really thought you guys would be better at picking up sarcasm on here...

I've seen enough people on here fearing relegation that I thought it might be a comfort lol

I was told a while ago we were after him but that was when it seemed like Martin was odds on.

Do we know about this 15-day thing :dunno:

Anyone this applies to can put in their notice to resign. This still involves serving their 2 weeks notice.

Even if they are paid after today and during this window, they can still walk at the end of the two weeks.

Does it apply to Rohl, perhaps?

think Wednesday probably paid certain "players" and not others

by players i mean sellable assets

real sad state of affairs at Weds, good club and fans being ruined by a complete and utter clown
