Can’t bear the thought of seeing him in LCFC attire again.

I would full expect our next manager to persist with Nelson and Okoli with Souttar backing them up.

Worst case scenario, and if needs must, put him where the blind donkeys in midfield stand around, at least we might get a forward pass.

He will be fine in the Championship. What he isn't though, is value for money. We have a lot of players in that category who are paid way beyond their value, which is why we can't shift them out, and we're stuck with them until their contracts run out.

We can’t deny though that in the championship last time Faes and Vesty were in the main imperious and set the tone by starting on the halfway line, and in Vesty’s case started moves from there. If they’re here they’ll play I reckon.

I would like them gone though.

They weren't "imperious in the main", we kept 5 clean sheets in the 21 league games in 2024 that season..

They were great first half of the season but ridiculously fragile (borderline bad) in the second half of it..

Would piss the championship like he did last time but honestly had enough of the bloke. His attitude when the shit hits the fan stinks and epitomises everything that's gone wrong for us on the pitch in the last 3 years.

I've been banging on about how terrible he is since his first game pretty much lol

...but that was because we were a Premier League team and still (just about) had top half and above aspirations.

Those aspirations have fallen off a cliff now though and we find ourself in a very different position - Faes is absolutely fine for this level, in fact he's actually pretty good.

We should be keeping him now unless we get a pretty decent offer (which won't happen!).

One of the most concerning things of the Summer so far, is the lack of links to this cretin!

Most concerning yet least surprising...

Vestergaard is here to stay. Terrible decision to extend his contract. He loves it here. We're lumbered with the lump!... Anyway, Faes has to go. Played a massive part in relegating us twice (same as Kristiansen). Really want these pair gone.

Erm.....You had a mare there.

Kristiansen played 12 games in the first Relegation season.

Hardly a massive part.

I'm not bothered how comfortable he may be in the championship, his attitude is everything I don't want to see in a Leicester player.

Exactly this. We need to change the dressing room attitude and people like Faes need to go.

I'm hoping someone will want him!!!

Yes I get that, but the system we played was going to concede some goals. I just meant in that system they set the tone by pushing up past the halfway line starting moves, much like most sides did to us last season. The difference in quality in the two leagues is shown up by the fact that those two unlikeable oiks can boss it most of the time in the championship but not in the prem. We have yet to see if our others ( Nelson apart who should’ve played last season) can do that too , so whilst I want them gone, they will play with pipe and slippers this season if they stay.

So you get my point that he was average / poor for a substantial period of that season, but are still insisting he'll play with a cigar on?? 😂 He really wasn't that good at champo level..

I'm probs in a minority of one here, but I don't see a problem with his attitude. In fact, I actually kinda like him.

He's judged far too harshly on two disastrous club decisions;, the Rodgers/Ward combo + 'Cooper Window'.

No team nor player could thrive in those circumstances.

Faes has been publicly flirting with other clubs to force a move the last three summers. Every time anyone else makes a mistake he throws a strop. When it's him he just laughs. Plus he's shit at football.

Just realised maybe you posted the above in case scouts are checking the forums to see how his current club rate him.

Thinking about it, I agree with you - he's a great player who would be a superb asset to any club on the pitch and in the dressing room

I like VK too.. And no, that isn't satire either

Players can look vastly different in a decent team. And with confidence. And not every mistake horribly exposed. VK and Faes have had to play with Ward behind them, a woeful transfer window from Cooper and an unqualified, not-fit-for-purpose manager in the Dutchman

Yeah I do agree and I think he probably gets a bit too much stick, as ultimately he has been our best defender over the last 3 years.

But his body language just comes across so arrogant, as if nothing is his fault and he’s above this club and frankly he’s not, he’s part of the reason we are where we are.

It makes him an easy target and it’s his fault.

That argument falls flat when Faes has looked awful under 4x managers, 4x keepers and about 8x centre-back partners - and keeps flirting with moves away during every transfer window. But nobody bites, because they've seen him play.

Ever since Faes joined we've had a shambolic defence, and he's been central to that. And his attitude stinks.

I agree football criticism can be over the top and the whining on this forum/going to the ground can't half get tedious, but we all have our pressure points.

Few players get under my skin like he does. The only thing he excels at is being an absolute bell end lol

Hey, listen, I said I was likely in a minority of one. I get your points. I just take a slightly kinder, different view.

I can't judge bad attitude on demeanor alone. He does look cocky and nonchalant. But that doesn't necessarily equate to a bad attitude. In fact, it's a trait I quite like in a winning team.

He's had loads of good performances for us. I won't list them as it's subjective anyway. But I've seen him play well and gone home after some games delighted he's been playing for us.

We've been a shambles since he joined. Apart from a six month  purple patch under Enzo,  the club has been chaotic and treated multiple players like dirt. Any right thinking professional would get his agent to keep looking for a more stable, happier camp.

He would be better as an old-fashioned sweeper or libero (I'm not comparing him to Beckenbauer), but it would match his strengths more, which are bringing the ball from the back, interceptions, passing. He doesn't mark, track, position or head as well, so the freer role would suit him
