Shame it someone we already know is leaving as oppose to some deadwood we will be stuck with still.

But I’m pleased he has sorted his future quickly and can look forward to a new start over the closed season. A good move for him, a club he knows already and where he is already appreciated by the supporters.

Rejected nearly £5 million pounds for him 2 years. Another one to walk out of the door in a free.

I think Derby also looked into him in the summer this year too.

Did he even play for us since that bid?

Regarding Iversen? Or Soyuncu? Or Tielemans? Or Praet?

You need to be more specific!

Were we ever offered anything fore those players though before they left?

Not to defend Rudkin, he's fxxked up enough, turning down offers for players we barely use is a shit idea, but we didn[t turn down an opportunity to sell Cags or Youri did we?

Sums up our club, joke really.

I would argue our ability sell players for realistic prices is just as bad as our recruitment. Youri, Nacho, Perez, Cags, and Iverson should all have been sold a year earlier, even If it was less than what we wanted. It stops the place from getting stagnant, while allowing fringe /academy players some oppitunites. not to mention, it removes players that want to leave. disgrace

Agree although Youri wouldn't move anyway, Trent AA for Liverpool has just confirmed he's leaving for nothing. Top players have got football by the curlies.

Uproar amongst the masses on Facebook as they are angry we have sold Iverson rather than keeping him as it must mean we are keeping Ward as back up once ‘Madders’ leave.

I mean these people don’t even understand the concept of contracts and players being out of contract so it validates what we suspect that their opinions on other matters are worthless too!

Praet and Iverson yes. Youri would've had plenty of suitors too.

Not bothering to mark this with a rumour tier. Even if this is complete rubbish, he's out of contract and we won't be extending anyway so one way or another he's gone.

My recollection was that Arsenal enquired about Youri in '21 or '22 but we pretty much priced him out of a move and neither they nor any other club actually came in with a formal bid. Could be wrong, but I seem to remember something along those lines.

Cant even remeber what he looks like.  just one of many strange high wage people just collecting the cash.  not his fault. bye bye whats his face

I, alone, could do a better job of running this club, part time, around my actual job, than the keystone cops currently attempting to do it.

Good money on the table turned down and he hasn't played since.

Now we're going to have to spend money we never got for Iverson on providing competition for Stolarczyk next season, or, God forbid... extend Wards contract. 🤢

Will we regret turning £8m down for Kasey McAteer in a couple of years time?

Not sure we'll need a couple of years

Wasn't that the summer after the FA cup where we decided to break the model and not sell a player.

Youri was at his peak in terms of value at that point due to the FA cup final goal. We should have sold.

Absolutely insane that we didn't accept money for him.

Also criminal that he's been allowed to rot here until he's 27.

Hope he has a good 10 years or more establishing himself.

A really top shot-stopper who could have a good career in the Premier League at the right club.
