As Rohl and Martin have their own threads it seems only fitting

DY ANOTHER DAY

Sean Dyche lined up for return to football with relegated Premier League club who IGNORED him this season

SEAN DYCHE is back in the frame for the Leicester job with the task of aiming for immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

The former Everton chief is seen as the man to pull off the recovery act by some leading figures at the Foxes HQ.

Leicester have been looking around for a replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy after a disastrous campaign.

There was a lobby for a ‘footballing’ coach like free agent Russell Martin or Liam Manning at Bristol City.

However the financial pressure of getting promotion back to the Prem's riches is now the main factor in the decision making.

Dyche has a proven record of success at Burnley, where he went up twice which marks him out as the steadiest choice.

The experienced coach is based in the Midlands so the move would be ideal for him.

Sources close to Dyche claim he was ready to answer the call from Leicester DURING the season but was ignored.

Former Manchester United interim boss Van Nistelrooy is keen to discover his fate sooner rather than later.

The 48-year-old said: "(I am) still hoping to find out. The quicker the better, in the best interest of the club. We’re all hoping to find out soon.

There’s 70 people working at the training ground who want to evaluate the season (and start) looking forward to the next."

The Foxes were long ago doomed to an instant return to the Championship.

But a shock derby win at European hopefuls Nottingham Forest on Sunday would see them leapfrog Ipswich and go third bottom.

However, Prem clubs are already understood to be monitoring the King Power Stadium situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

SunSport exclusively revealed that Brentford are interested in £25million-rated keeper Mads Hermansen.

Is Shaun Dyche known for using youth players from the academy? No is the answer, so why would you invest so much in one so the manager over looks it. The clowns at the club with their short term approach wont think like that though

This was in the athletic last year

Sean Dyche has never been one to mince his words.

Asked during Everton’s long sticky patch in the middle of last season whether any players from the academy were ready to help his Premier Leaguestrugglers, he replied bluntly.

“If there was an 18-year-old here who I thought was good enough to play in the first team, he would be playing,” Dyche said. “But there is no one I have looked at and thought, ‘You are ready to jump in’ — and I must say that is not just Everton.”

The comment raised eyebrows but had a grounding in truth. At least when it came to academy graduates ready to make an instant impression at Premier League level, Everton’s stocks wererelatively bare. The issue prompted a stream of questions when The Athleticasked at the end of last season what you subscribers would like to read about this summer. Here is that piece.

Few associated with the academy would have been quite as candid as Dyche was above, but in private there has been an acceptance there is work to do if the club’s youth programme is to succeed in its objective of providing players for the first team.

Everton’s academy transfer ban, which prohibited signings between 2018 and 2020 after a breach of rules regarding the market for youngsters, has taken its toll. So too the financial woes and subsequent lack of investment that has seen top talent — on the playing and coaching side — leave the club over the past five years.

a quick google about Burnley

Sean Dyche, during his time as manager of Burnley, was known for promoting young players through the club's academy. He instilled a strong emphasis on the club's youth development system. While it's difficult to provide a complete list of every youth player he developed, some notable examples include Josh Benson and Max Thompson

Dyche's approach to youth development was a key part of his philosophy at Burnley, and he often encouraged young players to prove their readiness for the first team

Not the answer. Not a long term appointment.

This sort of rumour is why Rudkin needs to go. We need fresh ideas and a club that sometimes thinks our the box. Our board don't look further than the end of their nose. There's no long term plan or consistency in our approach, which is the main reason we're in the pits in the first place.

Will he get us up? Yes, but look at the difference in Everton since he left. And that's the same squad!! He won't want creative players in the team.

I honestly think there would be quite a bit of support for Dyche. Not saying it’s right. But I think some fans, maybe older ones would like it.

Would he get us promoted, probably, would he then keep us up, maybe.

Just how well Everton have done since he left is a red flag for me.

Absolutely no.

Personally believe his days are numbered as a manager. Similar to Allardyce, Pardew, etc.

Shelf life has expired. The game has moved on.

Spot on. But it would be just like us to pick up a manager on a downward trajectory and let him take us down with him.

He should definitely be considered and would be a good fit for what we need now. He is a strong leader who galvanises his group of players and is tactically astute. I think he could provide that Pearson shake up and restructure that the club needs.  He would have us scoring from set pieces again and we could bin the ineffective set piece coach.

Whether he gets the job or not who knows?  There are other good candidates being mentioned on the forum all with good pros and cons.

I don’t mind Dyche in how he comes across or even that he isn’t possession based at any cost. I’m sure his Burney side in the Championship were very different to in the Premier League. &nbsp

But I just think we need a more long term, forward thinking manager who will relish the opportunity with the youth set up we have to develop players and Dyche doesn’t seem to do this. He also had a record I believe of Brexit squads with little to no recruitment from overseas markets and focused on domestic where we know the value is not always there.

It feels lazy and unimaginative. We have seen that just getting back to the PL is not sustainable if you don’t have a set up that can be smart enough to navigate this. We need to think longer term how even if we don’t bounce back first time.

We are in a mess. That's common knowledge now. We are shopping in Poundland & Primark.

We have fallen so far in such a short time.

Dyche probably isn't the long term answer, but this is exactly where our board has put us.

We really aren't picking from good, or exciting managers currently are we ?

There have been very few potential new managers mentioned so far, which shows where we are. What a shambles.
