Rodgers thinks he's some sort of Svengali, when actually his mental manipulation of players is unhealthy and it's similar to where Mourinho started to get to at Real Madrid and Man Utd in his treatment of players, believing in his own hubris and that he could behave as he wished.

I hate Brendan so much. I want nothing but failure for him, but then the troll brings kasper and nacho to Celtic. And Martin goes to rangers. I just have to ignore Scottish football as there’s no way to be happy with results.

probably more about players willing to work with someone even if they dont like them because they wont get better money anywhere else

I think it would be unusual. The fact 2 long serving players have gone to his club, indicates that they probably were happy working with him.

Johal is doing what I do on footy manager when I take over a Lowe league club, just sign any player with links to us 

 

muskwe, paniyoytou, eppiah, sesay and now George Thomas. all solid signings for that level tbf

Probably Wrexham or Birmingham with their US connections. He'd have been one of the MLS superstars, so the celebrities will have known about him then.
