Do you remember when PSR was being referred too as financial fair play?

Presumably someone realised that actually it's not fair and nothing to do with being fair, and so now it's all about PSR.

I've got to a point where I don't give a toss, the whole thing is a joke, and taking football away from the fans, and off of the pitch.

That said, we as a club knew about these farcical rules and breached them, and given that they have handed out points deductions to other clubs, then of course they will want to come after us, and seem to be doing the "fair" thing, and of course saving face, after we found someone who could make them look like the fools they are. Basically who cares anymore, it will be what it will be.

I remember UEFA first changed it after someone brought it up, and our league then followed.

Don’t know why but Villa annoy me, probably because they have surpassed us, seriously upgraded their manager when we dithered to bin Rodgers, recruited a top class Sporting Director in Monchi, and have continued to spend never minding the rules

Chelsea have been fined as well for the same thing

“Chelsea have been hit with an unconditional €31m (£27m) bill but could face a further €60m (£52m) fine if they do not comply moving forward.”

Both Chelsea and Villa fined by UEFA for exceeding player wages threshold.  Yet, both allegedly under psr breach according to the premier league?  How can one governing body find irregularities and another not.

Different regulations. I don't think the selling of the women's teams and car parks meets the UEFA threshold either.

Good news though Chelsea fined 25 million Villa 9 million.

Chelsea will find that no problem.

Do the fines come out of the next years accounts? Does it mean they have less to spend?

Or is it just a fine separate to everything else?

I've wondered that myself.

Yeah because if it does, then it is more than just a fine, it's a hindrance for the next year, quite clever really. Meaning they could fail year after year after year and keep paying fines. One way of keeping the coffers full.

And the pair of them getting away with it PSR-wise due to dodgy transfers. It’s sickening

You literally explained it yourself.

one is PL, one is UEFA.

One is Profit/Loss rules, one is wage threshold.

Expecting 9 points according to Rob Dorsett

Where not on his X feed?

I think 9 is very unlikely.

9 will be what the EFL/PL recommend. The independent commission will tell them to stop being silly. It'll end up becoming anywhere between 4 and 6.

nice timing from Rob to remind everyone that the club is still a shambles lol
