be clear, forest are spending like near £300mil come the end of this window, 

they will be making a few sales next summer thats for sure as frankly they wont be able to continue to spend like that with PSR, the increased wage bill too,

 

of course we know whats going to happen tho, bang average forest player is going to be brought for £40mil by botafogo or Jabba's greek team

 

Also, Keith Andrews is defo getting sacked this season,

Tbf, Thomas Frank to Keith Andrews is a downgrade of Maresca to Cooper proportions.

Yeah, double figures in eight of his last ten seasons. That one season at Burnley they'd won one game when he left in January and even then I think he ended up their second highest scorer. Didn't work out at Newcastle for whatever reason but since then he's been fantastic.

It's worse. At least Cooper had been a manager in the Prem and achieved a promotion. Andrews is literally just set piece coach.

Surely he doesn't last the season. I think we're a cautionary tale that being too scared of PSR to sack a crap manager can cause more damage than taking the hit, and their opponents today an example of why you should probably just take a gamble.

difference between us and Brentford is brentfords owner is switched on and knows what he's doing, where as we've got little lord fauntleroy.

Brentfords owner is self-made and has moneyballed them here, I don't think it's comparable to Aiyawatt riding on his dads coattails and the wheels falling off when he had to start implementing his own plans

They're in a financial mess and have sold key players, so that would suggest they're not quite the paragon of competence people think. Every small to medium sized Premier League club that punches above its weight looks as though it's run by geniuses until it goes tits up.

 

Back in the day it was Leeds, then Wigan, then Pompey, then Stoke, then us and the next few will probably be Brentford, Brighton and Forest. It'll all end in tears eventually because it's a completely closed shop for anyone who isn't backed by petrostates and multi-billionaires with a world famous name.

 

Eventually, the bargain buys dry up and you have to try and compete on the same footing as these clubs to not only add to your squad but also to keep who you've got, or face losing them and being unable to replace them.
