You do sometimes whether match reports are made up from randomly generated assortments of words.

I didn't watch the Villa v Everton game, but the BBC report started by saying:

"Aston Villa missed the chance to go second behind Premier League leaders Arsenal as Everton secured a deserved victory at Villa Park."

Everton had less possession (36.5% vs 63.5%), less shots (9 vs 18), less shots on target (3 vs 5), less corners (4 vs 6), lower xG (0.56 vs 1.36).

What was "deserved" about the victory?

They use AI to generate reports. You can see it not only on BBC but on other major media corporations. They're a disgrace.

Unai Emery starting to play up?
To openly say they are not title contenders when they could have gone 4pts behind Arsenal & to add they are not even top 5 contenders hmmm is all not rosey with the board 🤨

Why has everyone go to create a drama after each game ?

Is it to get attention and plead poverty at this time of year ?

If Glasner does indeed leave Palace I wonder if he'll end up at Manchester United before the season ends?

I wondered if he might stay in London and succeed Frank at Spurs.

It wasn't a great game to watch, but I thought Everton did deserve it. They dug in and made life difficult for Villa. Stats don't always tell the full story.

Villa just huffed and puffed. Pickford only really made one great save. Everton were never going to dominate at Villa Park but they did deserve it.

That said, you're right in that it probably is written by AI lol

I think most likely Tottenham, as he can remain in his property in London. This could be a done deal within the next couple of weeks, seems like Glasner wants out even before the summer. United I think are awaiting for Tuchel's contract to run out in the summer with England.

Glasner would be silly to go Tottenham. Think Southgate will end up at Man United come the summer.

Looks like Palace intend to keep a manager in position who clearly has now mentally checked out and actively making bad choices to make a point. Very similar to what we had with Rodgers. Probably got enough of a lead over West Ham, unless they improve, but hard to see Palace not continue to drop down the league.

Losing Guehi, lost Eze, likely to lose Wharton and Mateta.. I don't think next season will be pretty for them unless they absolutely nail the summer..

I likened them to us when he said he was leaving last week. I think he's getting out while he can. Wouldn't be surprised if they go down soon.

Problem for teams like Palace, is that the good players transition into those roles over a few seasons. They got there bit by bit. Remember they had Zaha up front for a while.

But when they succeed, end get into Europe, and they lose these players very quickly, there aren't the immediate replacements out there unless you pay more in transfer fees and pay more in salaries. The incoming players know what tournaments you are in. Either you pay over the odds, or you take punts in the hope that you can get by and kick on if the players are good enough.

Lost a bit of respect for Glasner over him throwing toys out of the pram. He knows who Palace are. I felt the same with Rodgers.

Surprised me how many empty seats there were. Thought Brighton fans were usually alright.
