FA Cup Extra Prem Round - weekend of 2nd August (Leics clubs)

Hinckley AFC v Highgate

Stafford Rangers v Lutterworth Town

Worcester Raiders v Ashby Ivanhoe

Aylestone Park v Northampton Sileby Rangers

Daventry Town v Leicester Nirvana

GNG Oadby Town v Newark & Sherwood United

Bottesford Town v Melton Town

Loughborough Students v Barton Town

The Prem Round is bit of a mess so will leave that off

Literally the exact same fixture for Hinckley as last season’s extra preliminary round lol not kept too much of an eye on them but assuming they aren’t much better than last season it’s a kind first draw. Long Eaton away more than makes up for that though and a good little away trip if we get through!

Pershore away in the Vase, likely more of a challenge but I’d still hope to get through. A good run this year would be a nice bonus,

Staveley Miners Welfare away in the League Cup and Daventry away in the league opener top off announced fixtures so far. Looking forward to seeing where Atherstone and Nuneaton games fall when the full fixtures are released.

Boro last night were supposed to play at Hinckley Leicester Road last night against Brackley. Match was called off 45 minutes before kick due to an unplayable pitch. Seen pictures of the pitch and dont look great... sadly no money i guess to fix it.

Opening fixture announced Newport Pagnell away. First game in july!! Quite early

Atherstone town away august 12th.

Can’t lie I was a bit miffed for Nuneaton, seeing as AFC offered assistance to Nuneaton supporters when Borough went, to fund the bloke who’s essentially the reason we’re homeless. Given Nuneaton are very much in the same boat as well.

But this was very much the expected outcome of working with them.

Unless Forest Green have about 10x the budget of the rest of the league as well, im not sure what the appeal of Savage is.

This is the same club who employed Troy Deeney as manager and the first woman head coach of a mens side. Just great PR isn't it?

Haha yeah decent shout.

Not sure what PR is worth when you're hurtling down the leagues though lol

Forest Geen are planning a new timber "environmentally friendly" stadium.

This will be very handily situated  next to jct. 13 of the M5 with a 1,700 space car park.

This will be most suitable for all petrolheads.

Not just the pitch. Leicester Road literally had no one to man the turnstiles or gates.

Ku The Con making a right prat of himself as he attempted laughably to get into Step 6 still. Basically wrapped up the company behind the first team but kept the development and under 18s are trying to use them as successors

Oh thank frick Non-League is back. It’s been a long 6-8 weeks all forgotten quickly with a trip up the Stotto for Quorn v Tamworth and a 1-1 draw.

No report. Just still buzzing it’s all back!!!!

Well… it now appears the Dev team has pulled out of LSL Div 1 lol at least on FA Full Time they’ve disappeared having been on it last week.

There’s surely nothing left there for them now. They’ve got no way of making money out of it and the ground will devalue due to how fractured the ownership of the site is with the lack of proper maintenance catching up to it… hopefully time to sell soon.

Problem is if the pitch is unusable at the moment, how on earth do they intend to make money. Surely got to sell the ground up. It's got to be the end of HLR anyway.

Andy Carroll at Dagenham as investor and striker...

To be honest, that could, potentially, be a good move for him - especially if he will have good advisors to assist him etc.

The club has potential to succeed due to being in a good-sized catchment area of London (despite obvious many London-based clubs around).

Hinckley Leicester Road social media admin lost the plot.

One of the best posts I've seen, genuinely thought it was an AI story for a little

If Leicester City wasn't such a mess, we could have bought that stadium and converted into a home for our Leicester City ladies.

It could be a fantastic little non league ground if it was maintained & looked after.

It’s an absolute state at the moment unfortunately. Grass isn’t even being cut from seeing it playing on the rugby clubs 3G behind it.

City have entered the national league cup this season, U21s will be playing against - Braintree Town, Brackley Town, Forest Green Rovers and Wealdstone.

I recall speaking to a Brackley fan on here a while ago.

That’s me!

As a warm up to the NL cup I’ll be at the Brackley First Team v LCFC U21 friendly next week

Will be an interesting test

So far at home we’ve had 0-0 v Northampton and 0-2 v MK Dons with 999 + 1066 crowds respectively

I was at the first game v Cobblers, nothing in it but a huge difference in squad size by the L1 outfit.

Ha yes brilliant, enjoying both sports a lot.

Feels odd not having ST at Leicester since 1998 but looking forward to a full season at Brackley being just 10 mins from home.

I had a super chat with the outgoing Brackley Chairman at the Speedway, also a big fan of the bikes.

Funny how our lives bring up alignments like that.

It will be strange watching Leicester U21 at BTFC on Tuesday.  I’ve been in Portugal for a couple of weeks but will be back just in time for the big game.

I’ll report back, will be interesting to see if there are any Leicester fans going with it being U21
