Penalty and red card, wow. They always do this, don’t follow the rules at all then go overboard, any slight tug even by accident ends up being a red.

I feel like the guy tried to pull on the shoulder and accidentally got some hair and then let go. Definitely a very weird red card for me that wasn’t deserved. Not even sure if it’s enough for a penalty. But it’s been given presumably as violent conduct which is ridiculous

Congratulations Bolton .

Pulled away after the own goal with their trademark late goals .

Sealed with an overhead kick reminiscent of Nick Wright’s effort Wembley for us v 1999 v… Bolton !

Surprised how poorly attended it was

Both clubs have still taken well over their average home attendance down there.

It makes it more 'real' if anything.

I understand that but i remember bolton v oxford having over 70,000 a couple of years a go, oxford were getting similiar attendances to stockport back then.

Just need a Wootton goal now for Stockport :D

Well, he did score :P

Was being seeing him as a center half, considering he's always been a forward. Maybe now we know why lol

These games shouldn't be at Wembley.

Why not? It's probably the only way teams like Stockport etc actually get to play at big stadiums like Wembley. Gives the fans a day out and a target to aim for. It's a big thing. I have no issue with it.

I thought it was better attended than I thought. Bolton looked liked they had the bigger fan base. Where else should they be played?

It is, in effect, a third place play-off. Wembley gives it more kudos than it merits. I know our fans talk about the play-off final trips but I disagree with the "best way to go up" comments. Winning the division is the best.

I would probably have it played over two legs again with the higher placed team at home in the second leg.

@spacemunky Nervous yet?

Definitely.

Feels like a lot more at stake than usual, for some strange reason.

It's been a journey these past years, since the Reedtz' brothers saved us.

Hopefully the lads give it their all today and that journey continues upward.

No one wants Salford to win, so they will

Our record against them isn't good.

Hoping Paterson has something better planned for this one.
