I’m not sure you know. On the one hand, yes it’s mental… on the other, season doesn’t start until 16th August, they’ve got new signings integrated, they’re match fit. Even if they just have 10 days on the beach they’ll likely come back in better shape than some of players currently in pre season training.

Feel like it could go either way. But the money might be the key thing, Man City have bought an entire new spine, Chelsea have filled the gaps they needed. Squad wise they’re both sorted now!

I feel like they'll both start well and then tail off 2nd half of the season.

Like you say, they should be coming into the season fairly sharp off the back of this. I just can't imagine that mentally the tiredness and fatigue won't kick in at some point.

I wonder if the impact of this extended season will be felt when it comes to the World Cup. Players either ruled “unavailable”, ending the season poorly or just flat when it comes around. Similarly the PSG, Munich, Dortmund players too for their respective nations.

Players are going to be paid an INSANE amount by their sponsors to be in a World Cup in the USA. It’s going to be the biggest most covered tournament of all time. Unless players have horrific injuries they’ll be there.

Exactly. I've posted about this before. No empathy at all. There were serious injuries the past few seasons and their managers were complaining about the huge amount of games. If Enzo or any Enzo starts complaining in a few months I will just laugh at him.

Hypocrites all of them.

Yeah half time interviews aren't the one

Haha also my thoughts. You're going to get absolutely no insight, just a knackered player breathing heavily that wants to sit down and have a drink and will just say something along the lines of "we need to do well in the 2nd half".

Infantino on the way to the refs dressing room with a case of money and a revolver. 3 red cards by 50 min and 4 PSG goals late into the game and stoppage time until they win.
