Probably overreacting here, but at the moment he’s good for one or two major errors a game. Sloppy passes, trying to do too much in the wrong area of the pitch. Really need him to stay focused and disciplined, feels like he loses concentration. I’d blame youth, but think he needs Marti to really push him on some of these things.

If they were major errors, given our lack of goals, we’d be losing games.

He’s the only player on the pitch that can do anything, he deserves creative licence and that will extend to a few **** ups along the way.

Yeah he needs to turn back and pass it to the centre backs a bit more

I kind of agree that he's not been as good as the last time we were in the championship, his passing game seems to have regressed quite a bit and he's pretty much solely taking players on and shooting.

That being said he's just got so much natural ability that despite being more one dimensional that dimension is still far too good for this league and he's still effective.

He’s young, desperate to help the team, been out for a year and trying too hard. He will get better with games and coaching but give him time - all of this is natural and part of his development but he is not the finished article - if he develops he will be one hell of a player !!

That's what wingers do, Mongas a bit the same. When it comes off it usually creates a chance

For natural ability, other than Mahrez, he's genuinely one of the best players we've had. He doesn't have the same ball control Mahrez had but probably has a bit more pace than Mahrez. Flair players like him will make mistakes, bad passes etc, even Mahrez had some honking games for us but they make up for it with the one moment of class they can pluck out of nowhere in a game. I think many forget how young Fatawu still is.

I personally wouldn't get too hung up on his mistakes and enjoy him while he's here, as he won't be here long term.

He's a good player, but miles away from Mahrez's levels or ability at the moment. Be great if he gets anywhere near those levels though.

Oh 100% I'd never compare him to Mahrez just like I'd never compare anyone to Vardy or Kante. Them 3 were genuine world class players, not something we get very often at LCFC. Mahrez didn't come good though until his mid twenties so you could argue Fatawu is better than Mahrez was at the same age.

Easy to forget he's only 21 given that its his 3rd season here, and he hit the ground running straight away. You've hit the nail on the head though that it seems like he's overenthusiastic and trying too hard, understandable given the circumstances.

I thought his technical ability was brilliant as usual on Saturday, but his decision making and some of his team play was poor at times. Definitely not his best for us, but he still has the talent to positively impact games like at the weekend even when he's a bit off the boil. There'll be matches this season where he runs the show and we wonder how long we've got before he's snapped up by a 'bigger' side.

He is having to do too much work because he hasn’t got the tactics and the correct personnel around him.  Him and Ricardo worked great for the goal two ago. Hopefully that will change when Ramsey/Page, JJ and Ricardo play more often and to each others strengths.

The manager needs to get to the next chapter in his manual and learn about fullbacks passing the ball forwards and then carrying on running on to support and draw players away.

You just have to accept with players like him that the game winning moments of brilliance are often balanced with errors.  It's just the price you pay.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go in January

I'd imagine there will be interest, just depends if anyone is willing to pay what we'd want. He doesn't seem the type that would kick off or force a move so I think it would have to be a chunky fee for us to sell him. I personally think he's better than Dibling who went for around £40m so I think it would need to be above that, especially when you add in the January tax. We'd also need a very good replacement lined up as we lose all our attacking threat without Fatawu.

We seem happy to sell anyone at quite low fees. I wouldn't be surprised if we sold him for 30 million and didn't sign a replacement.

I suppose that all depends on how desperate we are financially but as a previous poster said, the cost of not getting promoted would massively outweigh any fee we could get for Fatawu. I don't think we'll sell him cheap unless he kicked up a fuss but he doesn't seem the type to do that.

The whole team is not really very good. Last time he had outlets at present he doesnt.

I really hope our two special wingers (Fatawu and monga) stay with us until they get the move to a huge club that they are destined for, rather than doing a smaller step in between to someone indifferent. There are direct flights to Madrid, Barcelona, Munich, Milan and Turin from east mids right?
