10 league goal contributions for the season after his goal yesterday

4 goals and 6 assists

I think he should be able to beat what he got last time (6 goals and 13 assists) and manage 20 goal contributions this season

Pretty amazing when you consider the teams performance level and his not had a great time individually performance wise over the last month or so.

My first thought was "christ that's amazing"

My second thought was "how many more times is he going to try that this year"

Absolutely love Abdul, he's pure cinema. But there's 0% chance this won't go to his skull a bit bless him haha. He's got a touch of the Knockys, think that's why I love him so much.

Why try and pass to our forward line in fairness, he's had two shots from the halfway line or greater and came incredibly close to scoring both. Ayew, Daka and Carranza have 5 goals between them in 27 nineties

Thought I’d find a comment like this on here- it’s what I was looking for.

It’s a great goal, make no mistake, but to me, it’s not better than the likes of Vardy’s v Liverpool. Vardy goals aside, I think the best goal I’ve seen at the KP was Gallaghers second v Palace on Sir Nige’s return. Both technically harder goals to score. You see Fatawus technique on display possibly 20 times a game, with a keeper taking a goal kick

I'm glad you brought that up as. People speak about the great goals usually name out the same players but I mentioned this goal straight away, Gallagher. I also think Vardy's goal against Tottenham was so good, the chip over Lloris I think was in goal then.

My horrible feeling is he's going to be snapped up in the transfer window. No doubt for a big fee that we can't use on bringing in a replacement.

Goals like this dont help that fear. I also think in a good side he kicks on significantly.

If its not this Jan window it will be the summer window.

Absolutely mad that you think Stolarczyk could have scored this goal lol

You could be right but the club have announced we are in a position to pay for a technical director if they are currently at a club. So that suggests our finances are no longer in the red? I would imagine if we got £20m for him we would be able to invest atleast £5m into a replacement.

I'm just imagining the pissed-up karaoke, at the end of the season.

We turned down £28m from Sunderland in the summer, so we wouldn't go for that.

They can test away! No chance.

I think there will be interest in Jan, which we'll knock back.

Summer 2026 will be the tough one / obvious time to sell.

But he'll only be 22 and will still have 3 years left on his contract, so (other than being in the Championship) we'll decent leverage to get, say £30m+

If deductions/PSR all 'resolved' by then, we could even have a strong enough position to keep him, if we're rebuilding/spending for a promotion push in 26/27

What did I miss? Surely if we can pay to buy a TD out of contract, we could also reinvest a small amount of money if we make profit on abdul? If the reaction was about the £20m, it was sort of tongue in cheek but I don't think we get anywhere near what fans want for him.

Probably not, but I'm just going on the assumption we did sell him, even if we got £25m my guess is that would free up money to reinvest. Can't pretend I have spent much time looking into the finances though.

Also I think fans are slightly overrating Fatawu based on his potential atm, his output this season bar a few worldies has been poor relative to the sheer amount we attack down his side, In his defence, for much of this season he's had little support and been doubled up on most matches, but even with that his decision making is absolutely awful, his touch is often erratic and his general play is at times too selfish. He's got a huge ceiling, but he's nowhere near the £35m the club are rumoured to demand for him, up until 2 games ago a huge portion of fans said he's been bang average for much of this season outside of those worldies.

Fans wanted £30m for BEK and Mads, in the end neither have come close to showing they are worth those figures yet.

Fans also thought 3 million for Mcateer would be good, but we got 12 for him.

Its what the buying team is willing pay, rather than what the buying team wants.

You're forgetting who we support... £20m would be deal of the century for LCFC

But it really wouldn't be - we paid like £18m for him. I don't think he's been consistent enough for us to get anything north of £30m but what would be the point of selling for £20?

The £20m was tongue in cheek, but I doubt we would get more than £25m for him now, but the £20m tongue in cheek figure was based on me thinking the deal was 12.5m to buy him + a small profit
