Love waggy. Good to see that crop of players still have such good camaraderie, bet they’ve had a cracking weekend out there.

We’ve basically rinsed this competition really lol

We had  Marcin Wasileski, Sean St Ledger, Lloyd Dyer and Wes Morgan to come on as subs.

They had Nakaue, James Kilbee, Dominic Connor and Matthew Zatto.

I expect a full on parade for this, couple of bus tours with Thailand based influencers etc.

Also, Danny Drinkwater looks in better shape than Oliver Skipp, sign him up!

I don’t think the club have officially anything to do with it, else I’m sure they’d be promoting it on socials.

West Ham and Forest had red and claret kits with the generic 7 series badge, the club crests weren't behind the goals and they had names like East London All Stars and Forest Reds.

We were Leicester City and had (awful) Leicester City kits and the badge on full display, so we had definitely authorised it as a club whereas others hadn't.

Maybe we just don't have a great social media team. Perhaps if it had been Drinkwater's birthday...

I’m not so sure myself. We know what the club are like on social media - anything to make them look good and they’d be lapping it up.

Leicester City's title-winning captain Wes Morgan triumphed in the Soccer 7s Series Masters Cup over the weekend, guiding his side to victory in Singapore.

Leicester City Masters win the Soccer 7s Series Masters Cup in Singapore

Wes Morgan skippered the Foxes to five wins and a draw

Martyn Waghorn netted the winner in the final

In a team that also included Marc Albrighton, Robert Huth, Danny Drinkwater and Danny Simpson, Leicester beat COSMO Masters 1-0 in the final on Sunday, having defeated Forest Reds 2-0 in the semi-finals.

On Friday, in the group stage, the Foxes opened Masters Group A with a goalless draw against Corinthian Masters before beating COSMO Masters – the eventual finalists – 2-0.

The following day, they triumphed 2-0 over Real Singapura FC and then 3-1 against PERSIB Masters, finishing their group stage on 10 points.

That proved to be the only goal they would concede throughout the entire tournament, with two wins to nil sealing the Masters Cup – Martyn Waghorn scoring the decisive goal in the final.

Waghorn is our latest Leicester's The Place podcast – .

Oh man what a team and culture Pearson built. Great blokes first and foremost.

Some handsome bastards in that era as well (obvs not Waggy). Real Mav/Iceman homoerotic energy about that team.

Martyn Waghorn's just been on the place and is ****ing sound.

It's absolutely great to see those lads still playing and representing our club.

They are an absolute credit to the club - love all of those ****ers and wish they were still playing for us

This is veering into Forest fans wanting to have intercourse with their players territory

I will be the bigger man and make no comment on some of the slightly weird Pearson fandom on this website

Bittersweet really, lovely to see some old favourites playing together (including some that never did in the same team).

At the same time I'm sat here thinking shit, even the lads here that weren't part of our fairytale years I have far more love for than a single soul in our current squad, maybe Abdul aside. And thinking I'd rather have half of these old boys who haven't kicked a ball in years over some of our current crop.

And the other thing - realising this is the closest we'll ever get to a legends game or a testimonial for our golden generation. I hate our club's complete lack of nouse when it comes to recognising what the fans want.

First thing I thought seeing that team photo. A whole team of battlers there and you can bet they were probably prouder to put the City shirt on a nothing Masters tournament in Asia, years after most their careers finished, than a majority of our current squad are in serious competition.

A few wilderness years is well worth it in my eyes if the outcome is getting this regime out and getting a manager in with even half of the ability to build a culture like Pearson did. Football is at its best when you know the players want it as much as the supporters do.
