Sky news reporting he has died.

Bit shocked, only played the other week.

Massive influence and part of a great band.

RIP.

Very sad news, certainly a proper rockstar. Credit to him even though he moved to the states, he never allowed himself to forget his midlands routes and of course his last concert was at his beloved Villa Park. RIP OZZY!

Such sad news. My father in law will be gutted, he absolutely loves him.

I'm glad one of his final memories was that epic send off gig in his home city. It couldn't have been any more fitting.

R.I.P Ozzy. Definitely one of a kind!

Now they are reunited.

RIP Ozzy.

Just posted something identical in the 'What are you listening to' thread'. RIP Ozzy RIP Randy.

Oz always had great guitarists: Randy Rhoads, Brad Gillis, Jake E Lee, Zakk Wylde.

If he can get to 76 or whatever he was living the life he had, I should have a couple of hundred years left in me!

Godfather of metal. RIP Ozzy, a true legend of our time. Incredible innings really for a man who probably didn’t spend a day on the 80’s and 90’s sober.

Don't follow his music but recognize his iconic status, always sad when these legends go. RIP.

I own a few Ozzy and Black Sabbath albums (Shot in the Dark is one of my all time favourite songs) but I'll readily admit my fondness for him mainly stems from watching The Osbornes on MTV.

Used to joke with my wife that it didn't matter that we didn't have a valid will because as she's a Brummie our orphaned children would automatically become the property/responsibility of Ozzy, which I was fine with

So many good tracks laid down by Black Sabbath and Ozzy over the years….. Sabbath in my opinion are the best British rock/metal band ever, I’d go as far to say best British band ever…. Especially in the early years, their music far more intricate than some probably care to admit. One thing I always think about Ozzy is he never really lost his voice…. I remember watching them at download and being amazed that he was still able to hold his tune. Even in his final gig, despite there being clear weakening of his voice, which is to be expected through his age and ailments, he could still do it to a reasonably good level. My first ever guitar teacher lived a few doors down from him growing up, and he always used to say Ozzy would just practice singing night any day, Beatles on repeat over and over. He may have lived the rock and roll lifestyle probably harder than most, I don’t think any element liquid or powder didn’t go up his nose in the 80’s, but he clearly worked his ass off to get the voice he did, and it’s unmistakably him, in everything and always had been.
