One down, about twelve to go.

An absolutely awful signing on the whole. Massive trap fallen into by our board who fell for the intangibles and missed the obvious red flags.

All sorts of nutters wishing him well.

We should contact the Guinness book of Records to see if the KP has the largest gathering of cucks ever seen (current record holder is at Will Smith's gaff)

He didn't play like he was proud to wear the shirt

Again he's full of hot air 🥱

He wasn't very good for us but not sure about people having a go at him.

I remember when Enzo did a winter Q&A he was asked about the most important player in the squad and he said Coady for what he brought to the dressing room.

None of us see inside the club so I tend to think he was a good presence internally.

If this is the reaction to Coady leaving imagine when Faes & Soumare are finally gone

I think we should all open our doors and bang pots & pans, like we did form the NHS during covid, if we get them out too!

And that's the sad truth. It's a relief every time we get rid of one of these charlatans though. Faes and Winks next please

Yea I think he would be fine if he gets along with the manager, maybe he doesn't fancy it though which would be my concern, we need a team that is fighting for each other and I don't think he will be up for the challenge.

You make a valid point, but I guess until we finally kick a ball in anger and get 3 or 4 games into the season we won't know which Harry Winks has turned up.....

One wasteman out.

More bothered about his media career than performances on the pitch.

Shows a lot that we were more than happy to let him go.

Read that as wasserman lol

Anyone else starting to get that little feeling of positivity- like we might be starting to do something right at last ?

It’s only taken the club to be on its arse, a possible embargo and a points deduction

I agree. You can see why he was signed when we have a lack of leadership in the team. It just unfortunately didn't work out. I personally don't hate him at all. He's just not that good of a player. Move on.

I'll celebrate like the rest of you when (if) Faes leaves though.

Sky Sports report that Wrexham’s bid for Coady stands at £2m. With the defender’s £7.5m switch from Everton on a three-year deal amortised at £2.5m a year, a £2m would count as a slight loss for City in terms of profit and sustainability rules.

However, that £500k deficit would comfortably be covered by the money saved in cutting Coady’s wages from their bill.

These kind of calculations are misleading.

It still remains a loss making transfer in terms of the fee, but ultimately its a gain from where we were.

So instead of 2.5million for this year and the wages on top, its now down to 500k for this year, and no wages, so thats a PSR gain from where we were.

In effect its a circa 6 million profit, from the baseline of where we were before the deal.

I don’t buy into this good in the dressing room nonsense when it so far removed from the crap he served up on the pitch. It just doesn’t wash.

It's possible to not be a very good player on the pitch, but off the pitch set high standards for young players, exude positivity in training, challenge less experienced players to up their games.

So an over paid cheerleader?

Considering Coady was likely paid more than any of the managers during his time here, all of those “benefits” for a club in financial difficulties, probably highlights why we’re in such a mess as a club.

I'm not really arguing the rights and wrongs of it but it seems pretty clear when we were last relegated Coady and winks were purchased in part to add leadership and experience, and from Enzo's comments halfway through that season, Coady was delivering at least those elements within the club.
