Writing on Instagram, Coady said: “A massive thank you to everyone connected to Leicester City for giving me the opportunity to wear your shirt and share the dressing room with some fantastic people.

“Even though last season was tough for us all, I wish nothing but the best for the whole football club this season and beyond.”

City icon Jamie Vardy was among those to reply, writing: “All the best brother. What a player and person.”

Coady was certainly good enough to be fantastic for us, sadly first season he had injury issues and second season he was with a poor team that were only heading for relegation.

"Fantastic"?

He wasn't good enough to be good enough.

The biggest problem with Coady that he’s never been good in a 2 man pairing.

Just sums him up as a player.

Absolutely no interest in the footballing side of Wrexham.

Complete PR move.

Probably thinks he'll be in the running for the next Deadpool movie or something.

Useless cvnt.

It's possible to not be a very good player on the pitch, but off the pitch set high standards for young players, exude positivity in training, challenge less experienced players to up their games.

hhhmmmm - I played to a good level and those that were good in the dressing room were good on the pitch.

Gob shites were shite in both

He's indicative of the terrible transfer policy we've had over the last couple of seasons in signing aging mid table prem league team's cast offs with no resale value and paying them bucket loads. Don't hate him as a person like some seem to. Appeared to have a good relationship with Fatawu and some of the other youngsters. But he seems to talk a much better game than he practices on the pitch so not sad to see him go

Reading the Wrexham forum they are so excited the stupid ****ers.

Their hearts are going to be broken by this charlatan.

Liverpool are the main club most of them support tbf.

Wrexham forum is good for a giggle.

Its like a load of Hollywood brain washed Americans that have only just started following 'soccer'

Just about 99% of the forum describing Coady as an incredible signing.

Kinda' cute.

The irony being (and I agree with what you say), that in Coady’s case, the resale bit was fine. £2mill for him with a year left and his age is pretty decent. The problem was we overspent on him, fee and wages. Even if it had been £5mill, we would have turned a tidy PSR profit.

I'm not really arguing the rights and wrongs of it but it seems pretty clear when we were last relegated Coady and winks were purchased in part to add leadership and experience, and from Enzo's comments halfway through that season, Coady was delivering at least those elements within the club.

If these things were true, the manner of last season simply doesn't happen.

The real issue is we have continually brought CBs that don't compliment each other or the system/style of play, which just highlighted their weakness even more.

Since Fofana our CB recruitment has been dreadful, Vestergaard, Souttar, Coady and Okoli for the combined total of around 45m.

Faes as well. All of them ranging from £8mil-£15mil. It's absolutely rank stuff.

Forgot about him.

Played a massive part in our downfall.

A side with Maddison, Barnes, Vardy and Tielemans, doesn't get relegated with a decent pair of CBs.
