Wrexham must admire our defence having seen how solid it was last season.   They are going to be hard to score against with our three goal handicap, fourth choice, goalkeeper and a centre back who struggled to make the team.

Never has so much been said about (or by) such a non-descript footballer.

What's he good at?

Glad he's gone. He'll be forgotten about very, very quickly.

Ive never heard of him

Coady speaking to the Media as he arrives at the Wrexham training ground (2025, colourised)

Wrexham forum is good for a giggle.

Its like a load of Hollywood brain washed Americans that have only just started following 'soccer'

Just about 99% of the forum describing Coady as an incredible signing.

Kinda' cute.

I'm not sure why you don't get the incredible part in this deal.

It's plain simple.

Incredible how fvcking stupid Wrexham are being.

Yes hey seem to be going through a phase e went through when KP came in ....... buy names as they must be good. The fact they were good 5 + years ago hasn't registered

Funnily enough I was with an Everton fan over the weekend and before I said how I felt about Coady, he said all the same things about him that are on here. Very telling of a player when fans of 2 previous clubs (and now a 3rd) give you warnings.

He might not be so bad for them given how bad the bottom of the league is but it's not the coup many of them think it is.

I'm just glad he's gone.

I never understand why the media

constantly refer to him as ‘England Player’. He had 10 caps and was never a regular 🤷🏼‍♂️

If it was good enough for Nugent!

Look at the £2m they got for 32-year-old Conor Coady, who only had one year left on his contract, from Wrexham. Coady thought he would be allowed to walk away for free, with Leicester saving his not-inconsiderable wages, but Leicester dug their heels in and said no to a free transfer to Rangers.

Other side of the story is funny isn't it.

Was made to seem we were being unreasonable with making him travel abroad. Turns out we just wanted a nominal fee to release him

Seems Dorsett is the new mouthpiece for the club. Releasing that bit about Coady is very interesting to paint Rudkin and Co in a more positive light.

It's amazing that we sell a player we bought for £8m 2 years ago, for 25% of that price and anyone could deem the transfer to shed a "positive light" on the people who signed it all off lol

Wrexham do seen to have money to burn. Look at what they must be paying Kieffer Moore. £2m to buy him too.

Plus the £7.5m for Ipswich 5th choice Broadhead in the last year of his contract.

All with a three sided ground that only holds abt 8000.

It will all end in tears when R&R leave after the TV companies pull the plug on their series.

Still if I was a Wrexham supporter I would be riding the wave now. It may not come again.

Good signing at the time post-relegation, and was obviously part of the squad which won the league in 23/24, but that long-term injury really hampered Coady's time at the club. Also expected better from his performances when he did come into the side. Glad he's moving on given his apparent wages and keenness to leave the club.
