potentially Kone and swansea wont be happening

context, VitalSwansea is meant to be quite reliable in terms of Swansea transfers*

His numbers in league 1 arent amazing. I like his story though.

He got 18 league goals last season? It’s not a bad return…..

Wycome finished very very mid table so that’s a fairly decent amount

He was League One Player of the Season last year AND the League One (joint) top goal scorer. What more do you expect of him?

He looks ok from the YT highlights but not particularly polished.

Imagine he will struggle against better quality defenders but ultimately looks like he probably offers more than Daka (he can stay on his feet) and ultimately with Fatawu, Monga, Mav and potentially BEK, we only need a half decent 9 for this league.

for context, Kone got most of his goals when Matty Bloomfield was manager, he got 16 goals in 28 games,

then when he left for Luton and replaced him with Mick Dodds, who plays a completely different way to MB, his form dipped to 2 in 15

so his stats prior to Dodds coming in where pretty good imo

Think he scored 16 in first 28 or something, then when Dodds came in changed style of play to a less 'football playing' system, only scored 2 goals for rest of season.

(Edit- Just seen this was said by someone else after I was scrolling:chant:)

They finished 5th and lost in the Play Off semis to Charlton. They were top / second until February-ish and their form nosedived which coincided with the loss of Arron Moreley who went back to Bolton. Kone picked up several injuries in the 2nd half of the season and his performance dipped.

Koh-nay - or at least that's how our comms and fan base have always said it!

Looks very raw to me, does have something very Heskey about him, strong, holds up the ball well, and hopefully get us some goals.

Rather the giant lad from Cardiff but for around 5 million Kone probably the better deal.
