Nelson is absolutely our best CB. Quick, reliable and tenacious. A match fit Souttar would likely replace Vestergaard and we'd have a very strong pair

Anyone still annoyed he is playing due to having ‘failed his audition’ against Huddersfield?

 

His performances are just what was expected. He had excelled at that level and has a much higher ceiling than any of our centre backs. I can’t believe it took so long to bring him in and until we hear anything about a contract, it still looks like it has come too late.

For what it's worth, Vestergaard was excellent today too.

Very good today, though needs to cut out giving the ball away occasionally to easily, but comfortably better than the likes of Faes

Unequivocally our best defender aside from Ricardo who's been plagued with injuries anyway.

 

Nelson and Monga are our future, both with higher potentials than KDH and Barnes.
