Sad reality really hitting home. The millionaires on the pitch will walk into another well paid position, whereas the hard working guys behind the scenes/at the ground will be scrapping to find ways to make ends meet.

I’m glad the stewards are being cut. The amount of stewards outside sk1 is ridiculous. Searches to get in the stadium. Why is that a thing all of a sudden ? Literally been going in sk1 since 2002 and not until this year have they started searching everyone. When asked why?  the head steward some fat women says it’s for our safety !!! Got told you can only bring sealed water in !! You walk in and are met by another steward standing in front of you. Another two near the stairs and two more when you get up the stairs. Going down to league one hopefully will get rid of these idiots and the over the top security. 
 

Problem with the club regarding these issues is that you’ve had the same idiots in power for the last 20 years and they think they’re something special. The people running the match day aren’t footballing people. The whole club is being run by clowns who don’t even like football or football fans.

A lot of that came with the hire of Paul Cook from Coventry (since left), unsurprisingly he had a close relationship with Showsec.

Rules and regs around large public events is getting ever tighter so I wouldn't just look at the club for this.

The "light shows" are awful anyway. 

It's like a family all having switches to different rooms of a house just turning them on and off. When the first one arrived I expected lasers and coloured lights and drones. No, just the normal lights flickering on and off.

Some **** was assaulting his own son on Saturday and they were all stood around doing nothing and I'd go as far as saying ignoring it. 

 

It took another fan to step in to help sort it. Absolutely disgusting. 

 

I had to actually tell a steward to get involved.

Id say the club will definitely look to have more lightshows and flame throwers, after all who needs a striker? Another example of delusional priorities, I still cant believe they gave out shit free beer the other week. After announcing a 70million loss. I know it small in the grand scheme of it, but all the small things add up, I've seen companies that go into Administration and lots of out of control little costs if cut could have made a difference.

You'd think this, but we've had opportunities to restructure in the past and done the opposite. 

 

As horrible as it is, there's been the perfect opportunity to clear the decks and start a fresh with some of the 'lifers' who are under qualified and over promoted.

 

During Covid they protected everyone.... during the first relegation they hired MORE staff.... this time round.... MORE again!
 

We're bloody dreadful at this sort of thing, just like every other aspect of running the club.

 

Perhaps with the former FD making the decisions now we will be more brutal. But hopefully it's a chance for a proper reset, as horrible as it is for those involved, there's people in mid level positions at this club who haven't got a ****ing clue what they're doing and need to be moved on.

 

Might also help the balance sheet too, can't think of many other clubs (even in the premier league) paying the head of fan engagement 80k+
