I wonder if tonight’s boycott will result in one of those rare moments where the club breaks silence and issues some sort of PR response, indirectly of course! Will Anthony crack!? 🤣

This is why fan power works so well. Because they have to maintain their face to the media here.

They can’t move, they are stuck.

Stopped announcing attendances when it was starting to get a little embarrassing for them, until they had to announce a visibly false attendance due to it being very embarrassing for them lol

I actually can't believe they've had the gall to announce that was 27k.

I thought they'd go somewhere in the middle and go for about 22k but no, they really are that brazen in their lying.

I've already seen fans of ours using that attendance figure as a pushback against the boycott as well. Tells you everything you need to know about them to be honest.

Did anyone email him?

Have the club stopped doing the sort of ‘out of office’ or automatic replies?

You don’t expect him to do any work might tax his little brain too much

Isn't that the marketing departments job? Why would our head of non communication be cobbling together the social media output?

I think there's an awful lot of confusion on here around his role.

HOWEVER

If you were to look at our structure, Anthony is the most senior marketing professional ( lollollollol ) so it would be safe to assume our Head of Marketing reports into him and therefore those under him, including our media and social team effectively do too.

Ultimately though his role is to manage the fella who sits next to Marti at press conferences and also manage the general tone of absolutely any communications the club send out/manage media enquiries/run his silly little FAB....

Yeh I get that, my point was, surely he isn't putting together our social media output. Not doubting his incompetence.

No I doubt it.

Someone, somewhere has put the handcuffs on though. Even the lady we hired this year only seems to get some of her more engaging content featured. Pre season she seemed to have a lot more control and it's just faded away again into the borefest it has been for many years. She's the sort of person who should be calling the shots but the old guard wont have it.

Today probably proving why the comms director doesn’t recommend the chairman to speak.

Absolutely! But if Anthony had done a better job over the years, you don’t end up in a scenario where Aiyawatt feels pressured into doing a panicked interview to fill the enormous void. It’s another case of bad decisions/performance directly leading to more bad decisions. A common theme across the whole club these days.

The timing of his interviews is indefensible from a comms management perspective. Aside from Aiyawatt coming across very poorly, leaving himself exposed to questions on Cifuentes future prior to then sacking him are beyond comprehension. I think Aiyawatt makes all the decisions and all of those decisions are terrible decisions. He is either not taking advice or the imbeciles working for him are not providing the right advice.

It's so amateur.

Add it the never ending list of **** ups.
