Keith Weller Lounge

Arrived at LCFC for the clash against Sheffield Wednesday. Went through the VIP entrance that we’ve been going through for years. Went to the first floor to see that they have changed the layout of the bar reception area between The Walkers Hall and The Keith Weller Lounge. This is where we have been since being kicked out of The Walkers Hall. They have now put booths up against the windows and I was told that we were not allowed to stay in this room and to proceed to the Keith Weller Lounge. The booths were hardly used throughout the time I was in the King Power Stadium. The bar was hardly used yet we all struggled to get a drink in The Keith Weller Lounge. £7.50 for a pint of Chang. They also had a nice selection of food that was subsequently closed as soon as we went to take our seats for the first half. No food available at half time!!!

Not at all happy with the changes that have been made. Get rid of the booths and keep the food outlets open. Oh and it was £7.50 for a pork roll with apple sauce.

I know Wednesday are in a mess, but I still can't see The Clash winning that without Strummer's on-field leadership.

They still have Mick Jones' creative genius, Simonon's physicality and Topper controlling the pace and rhythm from the back.

But ultimately, there are only 3 of them and they're all aged about 70 now.

I'd already had just about enough of the way this club has been run recently but now they have changed the layout of the bar reception area between The Walkers Hall and The Keith Weller Lounge? That's the final straw

I can't believe it Scott to be honest, the booth idea was Soumare's FYI.

The issues have been raised today with the club not just this lounge but many others. This is the new American caterer. I ask all to let the club directly know about the issues it’s the only way things get addressed. Contact the hospitality team and register your comments.

Went to the first floor to see that they have changed the layout of the bar reception area between The Walkers Hall and The Keith Weller Lounge. Thankfully the keith Weller riff raff have been kicked out of here now so we could make use of the lovely booths they have installed near the windows.

 

Had a lovely complimentary pint of Chang & Pork roll.

A pork-quality selection of food on offer!

 

Again isn’t this the kind of things the liaison groups could be involved in rather than just finding it’s changed on the day? Yes, we have bigger issues than the roll fillings to tackle but the principal of dialogue and explanation would be a standard to be met elsewhere in the club.

 

Sounds like it will look and feel different when the full numbers return. Regarding the quiet feel and banks of empty seats is this possibly partly down to having no sponsor? I presume sponsors receive a quantity of seats as part of the package ordinarily?
