Watson has looked proper s**t so far. Howell looks miles ahead. Needs to be Alves and Howell as the two wide players. Burns and Watson need to be dropped.

Very strange how little time he got yesterday. Was most dangerous winger even only playing for 10 minutes.

 

Created 3 very good chances (Joseph, the header that got squared and Cullen) which Watson had not managed all game. Ability to turn both ways clearly terrified their full back, who had Watson’s number very early on.

With regards to brief minutes he hasn't had the best record of staying fit and available so he may, hopefully just be having his gametime managed for a bit.

Agree with this. Burns has been very disappointing IMO

Yeah i'm willing to give Martin the slight benefit of the doubt on Alves from yesterday but whether it's actually because of that remains to be seen. I do think we need to manage Alves though as he's delicate. Just a shame Watson was the pits yesterday and then made the decision look worse and kept him on for far too long.

He should have came on in the same stoppage as Howell. As soon as he didnt you knew it was only going to be limited time as we couldn't afford that third change too early.

Alves still needs managed. He is clearly going to improve the more he plays, but we need to use burns, bdcr, carr and watson to make sure he doesnt gas out in his first full season.

Getting a little carried away. But we look so much better with him on the wing. He can go both ways unlike Watson and Howell who made us seem narrow first half last Saturday
