Got a feeling this one happens

If it does we’ll have very much snatched him. Millwall ITK’s were saying his medical was today.

Guess a call from his old boss might have helped?

I assumed and hoped that erabi signing for millwall would free up ivanovic to come to us.

I’d prefer someone Marti has already worked with personally. Especially someone who, similarly to what he’s doing now with our kids, was backed by Marti.

Is erabi the target man type that ivanovic is?

He’s 6ft so not a giant giant but he’s absolutely stacked lol

Watched him in the derby live back in April, big, strong holds it well and brings the wingers into the game. Don’t expect speed or a channel run. Decent enough without being great

I assume you're talking about erabi not ivanovic. Think I'm leaning towards ivanovic purely because he's played in the championship

not chance of Ivanovic coming here, no way we spend over £10mil on one player this window

I would be happy with this type of move, given he has worked with Marti before, he will understand how he wants him to play and what he expects from his striker.

We need to recognise that we are not necessarily looking for the next Jamie Vardy regen, and the right profile of striker could unlock so many goals for the team as a collective.

If he was crap, Marti wouldn’t be after him, and you have to imagine it’s a signing he’s recommended.

Doesn’t strike me as the goalscorer we need, but could be worse

Yeah, this is what I've been saying. With the system we have, the individual striker doesn't really matter. It's the profile that's important.

As long as they are a strong target man type than can win aerials and has good positioning then their individual skill doesn't matter as much as it would otherwise.

We just need someone to be able to capitalise on the work that our wingers are doing.

Is still young enough that he could have a breakout year and become more prolific. Some strikers thrive more in certain systems as well. Mitrovic being a great example, couldn't seem to score for Newcastle goes to Fulham and can't stop. If Marti reckons he can do the job and he's a cheap punt then take the risk.

In with my daily reminder that we currently have one out and out striker, next year we will have zero… we need to bring in 2/3 attackers this year to be prepared for the future.

Oh and this is the championship… rotation for a 33 year old is a good idea too lol

Yeah agree. I am being slightly hypocritical, before the season (Post Marti appointment) I wrote a list of incoming/outgoing signings and Erabi was on that plan, but as a backup forward option.

Fair to say we’ve missed out on a few others I had.
