Didnt get to watch it as had to go to the missuses friends house for dinner( I tried to get out if it) but just watch the extended highlights, we were fairly decent I though Birmingham were sh!te, Denney can go suck himself

when do we get the points deduction ?

Enjoyed it, the atmosphere was good and thought we worked hard, looked fitter and had bits of quality to make the difference.

Need additions to the squad, though.

I'll always say that Cooper was a worse appointment than RVN. Van Nistelrooy had absolutely no tactical nous, but he also had a January transfer budget of £1.32 because of the millions wasted by Cooper on absolute pony.

Imagine if we'd had a proper boss this time last year.

honestly I think we'd still be a prem side with a proper manager last summer. Cooper was actively sabotaging us. Watching Abdul rip this division to shreds again and remembering that Cooper preferred to put Ayew and BDCR up against the likes of Ashley Young early season was infuriating. Could have had a lot more points on the board early on and not had the shitshow we had.

I think with our current squad there will be a lot more games like this, Charlton etc than games where we blow away the opposition as we did at times in 23/24:

Clear signs of improvement though, especially defensively, and it’s great to have so many youngsters and academy players in and around the squad.

I have sympathy for the fact that it was hard to attract quality with the looming points deduction, but we'd genuinely be in a better position as a football club if we'd signed nobody instead of Skipp, BDCR and Ayew.

Apart from deleting all his Leicester posts and saying "shackles off. Freedom" when he left you mean? Let's not be revisionist and claim "he didn't do anything negative" when he did on and off the pitch with us.

Hahaha people are so sensitive these days!

Why you so bothered? He was a petulant child and he got as many claps as he did boos anyway. I'm sure he will live. People have worse to deal with.

Just a bit embarrassing. Extremely tin pot!

Honestly we could have dipped into second tier top flight markets like Belgium and Denmark, or even back into the championship for the likes of Gus Hamer, rather than go for those three, and we'd have been better for it

Great rebut buddy

I just think football is different now, mostly because of social media. Some of the players we would consider hero’s did far worse to leave the club back in the days. It was just standard that most ex players would get a warm reception.

save the boos for people like fofana who actually deserve it, or were just watering it all down.

I will feel better once we’ve mustered more than a couple of shots on target against a team that wasn’t in League One last year or likely to be next year.

The team is just desperately crying out for a decent striker and someone in midfield who can actually pass it forwards more than a few times a game.

But let's not believe the multiple 'rumours' hey @hackneyfox - Perhaps they're all wrong and he is committed to Leicester City.

Thankfully the majority of us arent as naive.

:dunno:

It's not pretty to watch, but the team has developed a bit of backbone and resilience. The workrate out of possession is so much better. Credit to Marti in that regard. Also, his subs were good yet again.

Also, Vesty was bloody brilliant tonight. Soumare and Skipp were good, too. Superb

Whatever (or whoever) will the moaners move to now to try to destablise the team in order to achieve their aim of ousting King Power?

Hate the fact our team that has so-called fans in its midst that sneeringly refer to loyal supporters as 'happy clappers',  and call for boos to be heard throughout the match.

No one in our team was being booed on Friday. People were getting behind the team and enjoyed the game.

Almost as if we'll properly get behind them if they give us something.

After the misery of last season, it's great to go into the first international break of the season with back-to-back wins. Credit should go to Cifuentes - to be 4th in the league at this stage without being overly convincing is very decent. There's certainly some early promise under the new man.

Hopefully that will continue when BEK, Winks and Faes are restored to the team after the international break.

Thought the atmosphere was good Friday and do feel the team responded well to it

I agree and perhaps the atmosphere is generated by the players giving it a go. Whilst I think Choudhury is a limited player, I thought, first half particularly, he made some very strong challenges that got the supporters engaged. This commitment and physicality often lifts the crowd and then this translates back to the players. I don't expect things to be perfect 4 games in under a new manager trying to play a different style, but I can accept that, if I see commitment, passion and energy from those on the pitch.
