I was just talking generally, not even about January. So even in the summer. He’s a quality player and could look at home in the PL which is something we are very unlikely to give him in the duration he’d have a contract with us.

Just need to hope we get our crap together (It could happen...) and start to look like we are on the up and just as importantly, he is enjoying it here with this collection of sloth's

It’s one of them. I really like the player and would love him to stay. But if he really wants to stay, it’s also a red flag about his own ambitions and mentality to an extent. Unless there’s another reason.

 

I’d hope at the very least, we could

secure him and make a profit to help the club but who knows. Without knowing the ins and outs of the loan deal, option available and what that means for other clubs.

He is a player that we can build a team around. Hopefully the club can sell him on the project but I would expect he would like to know that the club has ambitions.

He has been by far the player of the season and the only person who seems interested and he is sh*tting himself right now that we may actually take up the option of signing him

 

If it wasn't for him, I think we would be in the relegation zone or at least a hell of a lot closer to it
