Read what I’ve already posted pal .

Allegedly we are paying Winks £90k weekly, of this is factual, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE CAN’T

GET REAL

Why would he sign for us when there will be plenty of better options out there for him?

GET REAL!

He's had a bit of a weird career really. Broke through at Birmingham when they were similarly shambolic, had a pretty nothingy year at Rennes and then ends up in this chip pan fire.

He's genuinely been quite unlucky.

Posted

He'd be mental to join us permanently. Obviously I hope he does, but would be no hard feelings for me if he goes to a club who actually look on the up. He's a terrific player and the best we have by miles.

If they don't turn around this season and start fighting for the playoffs he'll never sign. And we'll lose Nelson & Fatawu too I expect. The downward spiral will just get worse.

Posted

Without him, we're whole heartily screwed.

But if a Premier League side comes in for him, I think we'll all understand as he's much better than us which is depressing

We are such a mess.

He would be mad to sign here! Especially with the rumours circulating regarding Fatawu potentially leaving.

Our only glimmer of hope is that some of the academy lads look like bright prospects.

Only way he signs is with a large salary, signing on bonus and release clause. Wouldn't rule this out

We cannot afford a large salary unfortunately. I think when Marti said 'there's a plan', he meant the plan was Rennes recall him and sell him to someone better.

If that the case, why would he say we have a plan for JJ, surely that’s  would be a wrong way to look at it

Good point. I trust the senior leadership at this club implicitly, I'm sure they have a plan.

This may come as a bit of a shock to some people but I think that Marti is a bit of a bullshit artist. He likes to tell people what they want to hear but I get the feeling he hasn't got a clue what Top & Rudkin are planning because I don't think there is a plan in place.

He never said it was a good plan.

There’s a clause in Jordan James’s loan deal that LCFC can sign him permanently from Rennes this summer.

Presumably, LCFC could bring forward and choose to purchase now, but it probably doesn’t fit into our PSR plans for 25/26. Hence, we need to sell before we can buy, explaining why Harry Winks and Wout Faes are on the transfer list and currently sidelined from our matchday playing squads.

I do think LCFC will exercise JJ’s loan agreement and make it permanent. Most likely in the summer. However, if we’re not promoted this season, I find it likely JJ will be sold along with Fatawu in the summer to further comply with PSR.

So much dead wood in this squad on super high wages continues to suffocate the Club (Winks, Soumare, Vestergaard, Daka, Ricardo, Faes, Ayew, Decordova-Reid wages remain amongst highest outside Premier League).

I think this is part of what frustrates me so badly with the happy clappers

That list of players there and the money being spent, it’s more than what some of our recent hero’s have been on and they are providing the shit performances that they are, it’s embarrassing. Knowing the club is massively struggling too financially

I can't explain how pissed off I'll be if he goes elsewhere (which he probably will). We've spent most of our recent history in the Premier League so we should be able to dominate on and off the pitch. We've found a young player, who's great at this level, has potential to get even better, seems to have a great attitude and for less than £5m. This should be a slam dunk.

I won't blame him, though. Almost every other club in the Championship would be a better option at this point.

if we're selling him in the summer we have to buy him this window, can't do flip transfers like that

There is a positive -  of that dead wood you’ve listed, 5 of them (Winks, Soumare, Daka, Ricardo and Ayew) will be out of contract at the end of this season!

Out on his arse by 60-65 mins and by god it showed. We're like a different team when he's not got the legs, so easy to play through and toothless in attack without his link up.

It's not his fault, he's running himself into the ground to compensate for shite performances and reading of the game around him. Others should be stepping up and with the sole exception of Skipp today (who was also knackered by the end), he was let down. Again.

Id be tempted to start using Page as that dynamic 8 from 60/65 mins and then bring Evans or Monga on as a 10
