It is really time for Vesty to go. His lack of speed is constantly exposed including in the Championship.

Is it? Funny he keeps getting picked by successive managers.

Positive.

Jordan James looks like an unbelievably shrewd piece of business and just the type of player we needed.

Haven't seen anything of Carranza but we've not had a big bastard up top for years, so I'm looking forward to that.

Ramsey should be pretty good at this level.

A good amount of deadwood gone for decent money.

It's a good window, for the position we're in, and I feel that we have plenty to get behind this season.

I clearly have too much disdain towards Top and Rudkin but the compliments that they’re getting on here baffles me.

Our entire transfer window has been controlled by PSR issues which they caused.

A few examples that highlight this and my anger, Vardy hasn’t properly been replaced yet we’ve known for how long that he was leaving?

Bilal (eventual) and Mads fees seem low compared to the current market.

I’ve been critical in the past, but given where we are you can’t fault it really. I don’t think the Bilal fee is under market value. He’s shown nothing so far to suggest he’s a 40m plus player, as it stands nowhere Maddison or Barnes when fully fit and firing.

I do think it’s a shame to lose McAteer, but for 12m you can’t say no. I think the signings seem sensible and proportionate. Can’t judge the striker until we’ve seen him play.

We can’t get rid of an entire squad either, Soumare and Vestergaard are fine at this level. Both played very well last Friday. If Winks can knuckle down now, he’s a top player at this level. Our objective is surely still to get promoted.

Fairly positive. The balance of the squad is okay now. I would have been happier with VK out and a new left back in.

Bonus would have been Brownhill for Winks & Vuskovic loan with Faes out.

Stolarczyk/ Begovic

Ricardo/ Choudhury/ Aluko
Okoli/ Faes
Vestergaard/Nelson/ Souttar
Thomas/ Kristiansen

James/ Skipp
Winks/ Soumare/ Golding

Fatawu/ Marcal/ Reid
Ramsey/ Page
Monga/ Mavididi

Carranza/ Ayew/ Daka

With the rotation options of Choudhury for CM and Ayew on the wing. It's decent enough. Should be strong enough for top 6.

There’s still 7 there that shouldn’t be at the club that’s on top of what we’ve sold

Not great but theres been too many mistakes to be rectified in one window.

It amazes that in the past 3-4 years we’ve had 2 summers and 2 winters of making minimal signings and we are still deep in the mire with PSR.

On paper, we’ve got what we needed to get in but not enough have been sold and I also think it’s very apparent that the three signed players are all on the same agency as Marti. So I wouldn’t go around hailing Rudkin or our recruitment team either

still got a bit of deadwood here, but the Turkish and Saudi windows are still open for another week so there could still be movement out

but pleased with who we've got in

People on here are desperate to give Rudkin ‘credit where its due’ its cringy. The blokes an utter failure and a huge part of the reason why we are in the mess we are in.

Its astounding how many people have just accepted that we’ve gone from one of the best run teams in the Country to one of the worst and they shrug and go ‘well you got to give him some credit’.

I feel positive. We should have enough to compete at the top end of the table.

It was always going to be a tricky window to operate in and considering what we’re left with - to generate over £40m pure profit, reduce the wage bill by roughly £500k per week and have an agreed deal to sell Bilal in next window we’ve done really well.

The squad has balance, is a good size for Marti to work with and gives us scope to provide valuable minutes/opportunities to our academy talent.

Regarding incomings, JJ and Ramsey are the types of player we used to target - talented players on the way up, albeit on loan. The striker one was always going to be a problem. Firstly, no-one replaces Vards - if we had signed someone for big money the pressure would have been huge. From a financial perspective, decent strikers cost money. If we had have gambled and spent big on a striker there is no guarantee it would have worked and even if it had this season, the PL is a different beast. This gives us a chance to reassess next summer. This lad will sign if he does well regardless as Daka and Ayew are out of contract.

Ok we have the best striker in the world. HOOLIAN CARRRRANZA

Got a couple of mins through that, but couldn't help but notice the commentary on some of those:

"that's the monkey off his back"

"no mistake that time"

This is a sensible post and I agree with it.

I’d also add, based on what we’ve seen from Hermansen so far, I’m not sure his transfer is below market value either.

The £40 million valuation is based on Dibling and Fernandes at Southampton, which would have been a fair comparison for BEK.

I’ve watched some more highlights of him and I think he’ll be a slower version of Daka to be honest.

He looks to work hard but I’m not convinced he’s here for the long term.

For Dibling you’re paying English Tax, he’s younger and is seen as a generational talent. Many believe he’ll go on to be a top, top player.

Fernandes I don’t disagree really, I see him as very much in a similar way to El Khannous.

I’m fairly happy with this transfer window. I would have loved a statement striker signing but apart from that our squad is balanced with cover in most areas.

Reducing our wage bill, raising £75m in sales (inc BEK) and adding some decent loan signings.

Its been a strange start to the season, as largely we’ve played poorly yet we’ve ended up with 3 wins from 4 and with the window now shut and the squad now together until January at least hopefully we can push on even further with these loan signings

I think we've done well with the loan signings. Made a few bob on outgoings although some of the biggest culprits still haven't been moved on. Had we lost Faes, Daka and potentially Soumare I'd be a lot more pleased. Assume Kristiansen is still with us as well which is another total waste

Getting rid of a few players for decent money and brining I loans is fine for what we need now. No commitment to buy them unless they smash it which I am hopeful they will and it will be worth it in the long run. Fingers crossed there is one or 2 more that go in January when a few teams are desperate and we are 9 points clear at the top of the league . And the new lads have a bit of time to get settled with the international break

In terms of incomings, it's the kind of window we'd have been chuffed with from 05-07. I think it's a testament to Top and Rudkin's work that they've managed to fully reset everyone's expectations.
