Account no longer wanted

I'd like my account to be removed as there is no point in having one.

I want it to be final because, frankly, the whole forum is crap now. 

 

Mark is obviously too afraid or in thrall to certain members to allow any diversity or meaningful debate to take place. He bans on a whim, allows far worse conduct from others and doesn't have the basic courtesy to explain his decisions.

 

This has also become clear even in the LCFC forum. I've taken a keen interest in politics for many years and this forum used to be a good place to discuss it. No longer.

 

Logging off isn't the clean break I want. I want a full and final break because membership of this forum is now pointless.

I'm sorry to read this, as I see you as a good contributor - and was enjoying our debate in the News thread.

I seriously hope that our exchange had nothing to do with whatever has happened? 

 

As others have said: please reconsider, take a break if need be. We can all disagree with moderating decisions at times, but that doesn't render the forum crap or pointless.

Although I don't know what has caused this, I hope you're able to think again and continue to contribute.

In his defence he will come back after a few months and probably receive the same treatment again, then the cycle continues. Been there done that, I get why you'd rather remove all trace of your account even though it's easy to create a new account again in time.

It’s possible he may be thinking  that  browsing/ commenting  with a new username will not attach the same stigma he perceives his current name does. I hope he comes to that conclusion and that when he returns, he can somewhat enjoy the forum, or at least the sports section of this forum under those terms..
