Why do we do this to ourselves each week? I had hope we'd improve for this game, but we look awful. Not helped by Ramsey's sending off, but so many players just aren't good enough.

Utterly deflated.

desperately needed a change up top the moment the red card came out. Like, regardless of whether you acknowledge that Ayew is crap or not, he's clearly not got the pace to be able to make use of the few opportunities we'll get to break on them - the Mavididi chance a clear example, you can see how far back he is.

Even before the red we looked all over the place

Both our wingers were receiving the ball way to deep, leaving them so much work to do to attack their back line, made even worse now by the red card

Granted he's scored but down to 10 men we need energy up top now, would get Daka on for Ayew to chase long balls and give them something else to think about

The Midfield is just abysmal, both sit way too deep and when they get the ball offer absolutely nothing, would take them both off, bring on James and Ricardo, put Riccy at RB, push Hamza into the middle with James, crying out for energy in the middle

Should be. But the rules tell a different story in the modern game.

Given that the rules are what they are, and Ramsey knows that, it's beyond stupid from him. If you want to take a man out to stop a counter attack (because winning the ball was never on the cards there), you've got to slide and stay on the ground.

This isn't an argument about what the rules should be. It's about what they are, and Ramsey makes a moronic decision.

Thomas makes these tackles almost every game.

The ref has never managed at this level, gave out 9 yellows in his last game and the pressure from there fans and then players made him pull out a red.

Why is it when we go down, we look like 9 against 11. Whenever I see the opposition lose a man. Thry make us work for it.

Also. Why do all our players look like they are running on quick sand.

Surely by now nobody thinks we are 'serious' contenders. Accidental maybe, but nothing deliberate is in the works.

Surely by now people have realised that the quality in this league is incredibly poor and regardless of how badly some of fans think of us, we are still one of the better teams.

Completely disagree. 11v11 we were comfortable.

Plus we don’t stand a chance, the ref is giving us absolutely nothing.

Shocking decision to send off Ramsey, it was a foul but never a red, and ever since, he’s given everything to Oxford.

These are my new most hated club, disgusting.

We will have to disagree

11 v 11 - we had the ball, but with the exception of Ramsey shot moments before he saw Red we created nothing and Oxford looked a threat and created more.

It may be a harsh Red, but not shocking. Ramsey went in over the top off the ball and was out of control and gave the Referee a decision to make.

The ref is poor and Oxford players forced the Red, but that does not change how poor we are

I see such garbage here, we were truly awful, with a coupleof exceptions who were simply average.

Good goal Ayew.

God awful tackle in their half for the sending off, even if it wasn`t evil it was schoolboy level pathetic and should be sent off for that reason alone, my dog makes better tackles kicking a ball around

The changes didn`t work, the team has no idea, good news is it can only be better in the second half, but somehow i doubt it will.

Even at 2-1 down with 10 men, I'll be very very disappointed if we lose this. We simply cannot lose to teams like this if we want to be serious promotion contenders

We lost at Doncaster in 2013-14.  It happens.

Half Time Review

11 v 11 - we were second best

11 x 10 - we were non existent

We showed nothing creativity

We did not compete for anything (for the most part)

Not one game this season (despite winning 3) have I thought we deserved to win

Sheffield Wednesday we did enough to win, Birmingham has been the best performance this season, I thought we looked in control there. The level has massively dropped sure, a 2nd season in the championship wouldn't be a bad thing long term we'd make that year back in the next 3-4 years.
