He's more of a target man, back goal striker.

You're not going to bring him on now are you?

He didn't start because he's not had much game time at PSV. Hardly going to throw him on now are you.

I’d throw the water boy on before Patson

If he's a target man and someone that can hold the ball then why wouldn't you play him now?

I think it's mental that Daka has come on ahead of a striker like that.

I kinda like we playing 2 up and still giving ourselves a chance to win this, with 10

Not just playing for the draw.

.... because we're a man down trying to counter...?

Exactly? Can't exactly counter effectively when the striker can't trap a bag of cement.

Get someone who you can play off. With Daka you can guarantee that we'll consistently lose the ball.

You’ve seen Daka play, yes?

Yes. I would have liked a starting No.9 that was superior to Ayew and Daka.

On paper at least, this doesn't seem to be the case with Carranza and appears to be to supplement our striking options.

Ayew has fulfilled that role well today

We’ll defo have a decent chance to win this, will all depend if we take it or not.

It will fall to Daka, so the answer will be a resounding NO

We have no wingers or attacking midfielders to provide service or crosses. We have two strikers to front and Ayew is already slow.

Daka might not be great and he might not be in good form but it's pretty obvious why he's been brought on instead of Carranza given the context.
