I totally agree 100% but the amount of people calling for his head like he shat in their mouth is astounding.

Marti has some difficult decisions to make but for example, if he wants to play possession football then you have Nelson in there over Okoli. It's peculiar. 

The Nelson one is odd, as he needs minutes to improve.

Winks and Faes shouldn't be playing because they've spent the summer trying to get out of the club but I accept there will be pressures on Marti because they'll be earning 150k a week between them.

 

Marti has shown that he's here to provide a direct link between the academy and the 1st team. Not sure how you could claim otherwise. 

Not claiming anything other than the jury is still out on just how much faith he puts in academy players over experience. At some clubs, you have no choice but to play them. When you have a talent pool like ours but then a big array of failed and washed up PL players it's a harder one to juggle and takes some unwavering decision making.

Is it wrong that I want to see Reid on? I’ve deluded myself into thinking like he’ll be a new and effective signing at championship level?

 

Skipp’s glandular issue looks like it’s flaring up again. My mate had something similar after snogging too many tarts in Creation.

Watching Skipp and Soumare does leave a pretty bad taste in my mouth tbf

But all we've seen so far from Marti is that he's happy to chuck the kids in. Does that really go out of the window if he chooses to bring on experience to close out a game where we're down to 10?
