This negative football of 10 backwards passes for 1 forward pass is not getting us anywhere. We've had 2 shots on target in over 3 hrs of football because our first thought is to go backwards.

Other than perhaps trying to lull the opposition into believing LCFC have thrown a 47 yr old onto the pitch, what exactly does Skipp bring to the squad?

I'm hoping Ramsey coming back will give us some much needed creativity. Too slow in the build up so when it goes wide opposition double up so ball comes back again. Need quick one touch football but nothing doing at the moment.

Our attacking play is far too formulaic and as a result, predictable.

 

Marti needs to embrace a little more ‘chaos’ football theory!

Exactly, no overlaps from the full backs, little advanced running from the 8 (like wilf did) means they have very few options and are easy to mark out of the game

The first half team looked fantastic....hopefully match fitness can be built up quick for BDCR, Daka etc....

Really need to bring in a striker that has it in them to at least score SOME goals. I'm not asking for much. None of ours our getting anywhere near 10 this season

We control the ball for large parts. Sometimes threaten to do something special (the goal as an example) but mainly create nothing. We are a brain fart at the back away from conceding most games. We play one speed, which is so causal and our only outlet after passing it about 50 times is to give to the wingers and say "go on then, do something."

 

I thought Marti got it right with the starting 11 (don't want Faes in the squad but will accept he's going to play). But the subs were shocking. I'm assuming BDR isn't fit for 90 rather than it being tactical. If he can't do 90, select a number 10 on the bench such as Page. James was great a bit deeper and breaking from deep. He's ruining his game by moving him there. 

 

I'm not Marti out but he's got to start earning his money. Not good enough

We need an attack minded manager that can set up a decent defence.

Skipp is useless in his defensive play. Ball watches and doesn’t go with runners or put in decent tackles. He is even worse in possession. Hides instead of offering and offers no creativity. Bring anyone else on other than him. Please.

Anyone advocating that Daka is the answer up front is basically accepting that we are not going to challenge for promotion. He is a fine athlete but a terrible footballer.

 

Watching him constantly fall over, misplace passes and air shot good chances is just too painful for words.

It's not the opposition we played that annoys me about the draw it's how we played. Scored the goal and then seemed like we just played to pad Winks' pass stats. Sense of urgency (if that's what you can call it) in the last five minutes. Where was that in the entire second half?

Daka got an assist. He’s the only striker we have that runs in behind with pace and doesn’t stop pressing the opposition. He’s far from the problem tonight.
