He’s obviously lost the dressing room !!!!

Oh he definitely has.

But no manager has had the dressing room backing since Enzo - this group don't want to be at the club and won't play for anyone

Is he the problem though? Not convinced he is. Couldn’t name you a manager I’d back to succeed in our position. If a new manager comes with an entire new squad and DoF, maybe something might change.

IMO it’s literally do anything to survive and not go bankrupt now, then bin off the entire squad and start again.

Basically the first thing that should happen is all the players that are mentally broken should be stuck in the reserves, sold or contracts cancelled, loaned whatever.

players out of contract excluded from the squad.

play the youth don’t care, the manager is shit, the players are shit.

Toxic mentality

change the manager

change the players like

Soumare

Jannick

Daka

VK

Faes

ETC

Yeah I'm not defending against that. Tactically we have not been good enough and I accept that argument and I am not in the belief for a second that Marti is doing a good job

My main point is that I don't think any manager/tactics will make a difference with this group of players, who just won't turn up for any manager. And I do think he is trying to make players accountable and is trying to make changes (at least in personal)

But he's doing a sh1t job at it, by changing the wrong ones.  i.e. JJ today,  and when he does get it right by removing  the correct dross he just swaps it for more dross off the bench.

If he gets the initial squad right or better snd makes better subs, we may just stand a chance of a better result.

That post match was horrendous, absolutely horrendous, it sounds like he has no intention of changing anything, he seems more angry with the fanbase than he is with the players.

Couldn't be arsed to listen, roughly what did he say?

I read it differently, that he wasn’t happy with the players but I think he knows he’s gone

I also had high hopes for MC, certainly from a tactical point of view. I thought he’ll been more pragmatic. Sometimes I think he been told to pick these players for the ext transfer, in the hope we can sell them. MC needs to be brave and start playing the academy and start investing in them. We had fan what to see the players are giving their all for the club. Clearly there are players who don’t want to be there here, Winks, Fae and Soumare to name a few. We are want to our club back, be proud of them, no matter what the result, I can’t say this with this team and set up!😡😡😡😡

Enzo lost the dressing room 2nd half of his season here.

Some of the first half play was okay. Get to their box then deliver absolute garbage. Is that Marti's fault? Or are our players not getting the pelters they deserve. Marti can't kick it, chase it, tackle it for them. They are pros and playing pathetically

I thought he was pissed. When asked if he could share what he said to the players in the dressing room it was a flat no. I think he ripped into them. He seemed to he livid.

It came across like he was protecting them and trying to create a us v them mentality with his response, just hat he wants more from them. I hope he's gone but I highly doubt he is.

I know we were absolutely terrible under him, but at least Ruud was trying to deal with the players and try and drive a better standard at the club.

it’s got to be more on the players than the manager I think.

I was eluding to making changes to the starting 11 - which he does, but the squad is so poor it doesn't make a difference - My belief is no manager or tactics will make a difference

Yes his subs and his insistence to keep taking JJ off - who has been our best player this season is not good and I don't recall him actually making a positive influence during the match - today his first changes were to bring back on the three players who have repeatedly underperformed and we became worse for it

He's not going to change anything, we need to work harder, we need to go again on the training ground. Regarding the response from the fans it's not what a manager would want to see, not in the sense the fans were wrong. When asked if he could share what he said to the players he said no, I took it as him protecting them but as others have said it may more be in line that hes ripped into them. I personally think he had the opportunity to publicly lay into them, but I can see others views my anger towards him may have clouded my judgement

Today was about a lack of effort and desire. It’s a toxic group, but even this pathetic level and effort and desire is not acceptable and if Marti can’t get more out of them (and let’s not talk about the lack of game plan) then he clearly needs to go.

Aarrh, gotch ya,  I miss understood.

But his changes are still crap senior player for another crap senior player.

He needs to be brave,  he needs to think outside the box and go for some youth.

New youth will bring energy, a fight to impress the manager, a desire to please the fans,  all with the goal of making it on the pitch next match, something some of the  established players take for granted and lack in ther performance once hitting g the pitch.

Yes there will be mistakes ( but the senior players are doing such a sterling error free job at the moment) yes they may be overwhelmed by the occasion, but we won't know until Marti tries.
