teblin Posted 1 January Posted 1 January Either pointe deduction is mental or he’s just doing deflection tactics away from himself,
Cropwellfox Posted 1 January Posted 1 January He’s done pretty well in that post match, blamed injuries, the supporters, things behind the scenes, his players for individual mistakes and their lack of ability to execute whatever plan was in place. Up there with late-era Rodgers levels of blaming and finger pointing. Ownership will just get another shit for tactics manager in if this fraud does go, so really what’s the point. Anyone with a football brain pulls out all the stops to get Wilder in the summer. Exactly what we needed this season with the job needed and circumstances we’ve got… backs against the wall mentality, play with pride and energy, honesty with everyone. Sheffield United end up at least 20 points ahead of us this season. 2
kiddo Posted 1 January Posted 1 January “It’s a good performance?” What is he on? Sheff Utd fans were laughing at how bad we were.

A very strange thing to say when clearly he couldn't elaborate on it, and went onto to spout some crazy tactical diatribe as to the way Sheff Wed were so well set up tonight. Very weird and worrying interview. So he’s telling us that there are things happening at the club that means he can't drop Luke Thomas, have any semblance of a tactical game plan or even expect the players to put 100% effort in? Poor Marti🤔 1

The club knows our points deduction and it effectively relegates us. 4. Lots of players leaving once the transfer window opens. 5. Players not willing to play as they hope they will get a move. 6. A big dressing room bust up. 7. The club has been put up for sale. Who knows but it's worrying when all the above is a possibility. He's boycotting the West Brom game as well

RowlattsFox Posted 1 January Posted 1 January (edited) Sometimes I think it gets lost in translation but it certainly wasn't a good performance. There wasn't anything redeeming about it. Edited 1 January by RowlattsFox
StanSP Posted 1 January Posted 1 January The subtle dig at the board (?) presumably is quite worrying. Not for Marti, but for us. Why does he feel the need to make a comment about it? Is it transfer market related? Is it more underhand? It's quite concerning when a manager comes out with cryptic statements like that. And usually not a good sign for the manager themselves. Is he angling to be sacked? 1

I did think "there's some things I can't tell fans" could easily relate to wanting to call Luke Thomas a useless **** on live tv 1

I mean, do you not remember the mid October heatwave that was to blame for us not getting a win at home to palace under the Chapstick merchant? 3
VLC86 Posted 1 January Posted 1 January Wild speculation time, but I recon part of it will be a transfer embargo. 1
Gamble92 Posted 1 January Posted 1 January Why does he keep talking about consistency? Not giving a shit from the off and deciding to now and then isn't filed under "consistency". It's called not giving a **** and lacking in basic pride, professionalism and ****ing morals. This club is absolutely falling apart. 2

RowlattsFox Posted 1 January Posted 1 January (edited) Definitely feels like a 'it's not my fault' change of direction. If he starts throwing the board under the bus, then great, but he'll be gone after West Brom. Edited 1 January by RowlattsFox

It will be the staff pay situation and probably much deeper rumours about us about to become like Sheffield Wednesday. I think all the players are searching for a way out. This is the King Power legacy. 1

The most inept owner in football history.
HarryTheGenie Posted 1 January Posted 1 January (edited) He needs to go. That much is clear. However the bigger issue is the fact that the Owner and Director of Football can't select anyone noteworthy. This goes back through all of the King Power years in all honesty. If you look through every appointment they've made, apart from realising the mistake in sacking Pearson the first time and bringing him back, every other appointment has been a questionable... Sven - big name disaster Ranieri - Lucky pick (probably only got the job because Vichai was a Chelsea fan) and long term fell apart Shakespeare - picked with emotion attached, good number 2s don't always make great number 1s. Puel - Boring, painful, egotisical Rodgers - self-obsessed, image obsessed, took too much control and dismantled successful recruitment for his own ends, the real beginning on the current decline Smith - Bad choice considering others who could of done better short term at that time, could of been OK if given 3 more games. Maresca - selfishlessly sold himself to the first highest bidder - only ever going to be short term. Cooper - Doomed to start with, cheap option, too hasty to sack RvN - poor, out of his depth, unproven Marti - cheap, out of his depth, clueless We hear alot about aura, great interviews, the people in charge of our football club seemingly always get the wool pulled over their eyes by snake oil salesmen. Either that or Rudkin is that paranoid about being outed as the fraud he is he scuppers any decent appointment in favour of poor ones so his authority remains unquestioned.
