Wise up guys.

There are no realistic appointments.

Not that would want to come here.

The tea lady would turn the job down.

ZZ Top will be dreaming of Southgate.

Oh Christ I hope not !

Can't stand the bloke, can't stand his brand of football.

It won't suit the current crop of players, and god it's sooooooo boring.

He has as much charisma as a dead hamster and it rubs off on the teams that have the misfortune of being "managed" by him

I can absolutely guarantee that Top and Rudkin will approach Brendan. Were that much of a basket case I’d put good money on them speaking to him.

I mean let's be honest, as much as we despise where we ended up at the end of his reign, he would be leagues above any manager we are likely to appoint.

There is literally no chance Rodgers returns by the way, he will never choose a squad that is as dysfunctional as ours.

As painful as it may be to stick with Marti in the short term, I’d prefer us to wait until the new leadership positions are filled before trying to recruit a replacement. Top and Rudkin have shown they are simply not up to the job.

We aren’t getting anyone decent in these roles under this incompetent regime so expect more of the same..

You may be correct , but right now those appointments are our only realistic way out of this mess. Because I don’t think Top has any intention of selling.

Marti needs to return to his gardening leave and Andy King given the interim role. 100% he would not make things any worse than they are now, plus there's a good chance that fans goodwill towards him would improve the atmosphere.

Not sure I want to see Kingy in charge of this mob especially if the ones who have been complicit in throwing 3 managers under a bus in the last 15 months are still to be in and around the matchday squad.

Whoever takes over must have total control and autonomy to select who they wish and to have the full support of the board to manage the bad eggs out of the club. If the expectation is that we just change the manager and hey presto everything changes then I think we will all be very mistaken.

Kingy is a nice thought but I don’t want to kill his management career before its started, I’d prefer to see him become the next assistant and begin a process of promoting from within once the next manager moves on. I think the most realistic prospect we have right now is going to be a friend or contact of whoever the technical director will be.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up the other way and we end up finding  the technical director through the new managers agent

Marti seems a pretty decent bloke, but as a manager his LCFC record is speaking volumes for itself.

Realistically nothing will change overnight and he won't suddenly change his tactics, football philosophy, training methods, team selections,  match dsy management etc. all of which obviously isn't working using  our league position and the numbers in our Win /Loss / Draw column as proof.

I'd take anyone that would actually give us a playing identity and some match day structure.

Someone who with a different set of eyes, an ublinkered approach and their own ideas look at what Marti did but then analyse what didn't work week after week ( then stop it and try something else) but more importantly look at who are the bad eggs in the squad and the continual poor performers (cough ,cough the Jogging Donkey Soumare, yes he had a better game yesterday but 5 snowflakes doesn't make a winter and history shows he's a hindrance not a help)  then look at utilising the youth a bit more, because the so called senior players are doing such a sterling job and it can't get much worse.

We loose a load of deadwood in the summer so for me a caretaker until then,  then an enforced rebuild.  If that's Andy King so be it but we need someone who can shake things up and I'm not convinced he could..

It’s a none starter, but I can just see them doing it. They will probably liken this to Svens reign, when they went back for Nigel, and think they can do it again.

We have one functioning Center Back, and he is possibly the slowest bag of balls in the league, has an attitude problem and dictates our play out the back.

Why would anyone take this on?

Not really seeing an attitude problem with Vestergaard on the pitch. I think he’s trying.

It wouldn't surprise me if we aren't just leaving it up to christmas crackers at this rate
