No way he'd leave them for this sinking ship Would be a huge risk, you have to seriously back yourself to take this job on, if he did it would be a statement. Take this on now and h could be out of a job in the summer or a hero at Lincoln who would replace us as the biggest LCFC in the midlands. It will be Martin.

We've won the most major trophies this Century outside of United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal. Regardless of the sitation, the name holds weight. 14

AKCJ Posted 9 February Posted 9 February How do Lincoln play? If they don't play with a single pivot 6 and inverted fullbacks without the striker ever touching the ball, no press whatsoever and the centre halves hogging the ball all game I doubt Skubala will interest the midget. 2 1
dmayne7 Posted 9 February Posted 9 February 5 minutes ago, Brooksy said: Lincoln are 2nd. No way he'd leave them for this sinking ship Do you actually think that? If I was a Lincoln fan I'd like to believe the same but he can come here and earn immeasurably more money, and join a club that has won the majority honours in English football in recent years. Best (or among the best) training facilities in the world, great academy pipeline, big stadium etc to work with. Plus he will believe he can be the man to turn things around and get a load of fake promises (or maybe the penny has dropped and they are genuine) from the board. He takes Lincoln up and back down, he's not getting this opportunity again anytime soon.

BrilliantFox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February (edited) The only thing I'm scared about is the egos in the dressing room, he needs to come in and straight away build that player-manager relationship. Instill a solid system, with attractive tactics and a powerful pressing structure. Edited 9 February by BrilliantFox

An interesting interview with Sky.

Cincinnati Fox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February The fact it’s even a discussion that might choose to stay at Lincoln over coming here show how far we have fallen. Feckin Lincoln!!!!!’
AKCJ Posted 9 February Posted 9 February 9 minutes ago, Brooksy said: Lincoln are 2nd. No way he'd leave them for this sinking ship Realistically we shouldn't be going down this season. I think that's relatively fairly shown in the bookies odds. As much as we as fans will worry, we do have a lot of proven quality in the side and a half decent manager should get us over the line. Two centre halves of Lascelles and Nelson with Skipp and Winks ahead of them should be absolutely fine to build around at this level. Especially when you add in quality like James and Fatawu. Which means if Skubala steers us to survival he will bag himself a good contract on a 7/8 times as much as he's on now.

LVFox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February After reading about him for 5 minutes, I’m all for it, but that’s mainly because he isn’t Russel Martin

King Power Out. With every passing day, we just seem to sink further and further. Relegation battle in an utterly horrendous league and now questioning whether Lincolns manager would join us. From being one of the best teams in the country to utter irrelevance in just a few years. Madness 2

As a study of survival and collection of resources he is a fascinating study. 1
