Those of us who didnt renew their season tickets this time around - are you feeling guilty ?

Gave it up after 17 years - just couldn't be bothered ruining every other weekend, its 6 hours out my weekend watching that tripe under the current ownership. I've not missed it one bit, I watch if the games are on sky, and listen on the radio if I'm in the car - but having the power to switch off the TV and do something else is nice.

Surely it’s pretty obvious that there won’t be much guilt or regret of those who have not renewed their season ticket whilst the team isn’t playing well. If we were flying high and playing great football then this thread would barely have any comments. When the team eventually start playing well again people will want to come back. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I still enjoy going even if it’s just to have a good old collective moan with other fans about the state of our attack/left back options/referees etc etc😂

There should be a happy clapper tax when we get good again and they all come running back.

I renewed, missed two so far though illness……it is a changing landscape watching your team, regardless if you think the owners are shite, but won Premier League and FA cup, neither of which I thought I would see in my lifetime, (I am 68) yet they are considered shite…..the changing landscape id Sky featuring so many Foxes games on Sky plus, that the need/ cost of a season ticket has diminished…..that said a concession season ticket is £420, I pay £200+ for sky every month, probably better to go to games and cancel Sky……at the end of it, you either want to go or you don’t, pretty simple, no team wins every game, (Liverpool?)and it’s rare the opposition get praise on here when both Wrexham and certainly Portsmouth deserved their point…. I have never heard so much talk of grass roots football….if you like it keep going……enjoy it…..

Your main issue here is the sky deal - who negotiated that

No it’s not, I have a choice, that I will make as I see fit…..it was the EFL who struck the deal, we are 1/24th of that decision….reference changing landscape, it is cheaper for me to have a season ticket, with the option to attend or not, than buy tickets on an ad hoc basis…..now not got there yet, but an empty seat isn’t good for anyone, and I have already quoted elsewhere on here, Oxford at home on a freezing Saturday in January, might we’ll see me sat watching it on Sky plus….I don’t agree with that, but the club, the team, Sky, the economy will have an influence on my decision….

I think he was asking how on earth you ending up paying £200 a month for Sky.

So ive been complaining about all the passing round the back for years. Yet i still renew.

This season i have really felt like i just want to give it all up. We still persist with passing round the back when we are clearly not good enough for it. i honestly hate watching us play football

Then i think to myself that i should keep hold of it in case i would struggle to get one again in the years to come. My daughter is 19 and i assume at some point i will become a grandad (hopefully not anytime soon lol) So i will want to introduce my grandchild to the mighty foxes (though may be better to keep them as far away as possible)

So am i just holding onto the season ticket just for the sake of it? Probably.

However i work from home so i rarely actually leave the house. So this would mean giving up on one of the only things i actually leave the house for.

£200 is crazy, as a new customer i paid (cancelling in cooling off period) £95 including two tv boxes, all sport, all kids, all movies and netlfix, internet was 300bps

Honestly think we could've won all 12 games and I wouldn't be feeling any real FOMO. We won this league two years ago. I think a harsh truth to face for our fans is supporting LCFC has peaked already and deep down we all know this.

That doesn't mean this is even close to being acceptable mind.

If you'd renewed you'd feel a whole lot different.

I did and I'm struggling to summon the effort to go to home games never mind the 75% of away games I used to go to.

Ditto.

I renewed, despite living near Manchester now. Plan was to still go to most weekend games but forward my ticket on to family still in leicester when i couldn't attend.

Now its quickly shifted to the opposite; my ticket is de facto up for grabs by family unless i explicitly want to attend, which has been less and less as the season progresses. But its also proving harder to find someone to take a free ticket sometimes lol

Last year I said I doubt I'll renew, and here I am now. But this year I'm already fed up with it and committed to not repeating that lapse in resolve. If there's significant change to the executive management of the club I might be less inclined to step away, but how many years have we been saying that with no (positive) changes in sight - on OR off the pitch.

A huge amount still renewed despite not really wanting to actually be there. They're just keeping them on the off chance that we'll get good again, which we won't under King Power.

The purge has been quicker and deeper than I expected though, and has hit different demographics of the support than I think a lot hoped for lol

Sorry but..£200+ for Sky? Blimey brother you've been properly turned over, I told sky to ram it at renewal time and they came back with £50 per month including Sports and movies and I thought I was overpaying! feel much better now!

Stick it on the resale platform if you dont want to go. Seat gets used and you get a refund.

Sounds like how I felt for last few years, and second half of last season absolutely nobody wanted a free ticket apart from the obvious Ipswich/Vardy send off.

I binned it off and won’t be returning unless big club football regains it’s heart.

Lots of great footballing clubs around Manchester (not thinking about the big two) to sample, with many probably within 20-30 mins max.

My Brother in Law now regularly attends Radcliffe Boro in the NL North after pretty much getting fed up of big clubs too.  He literally had his football spark re-lit on a visit down here to Brackley Town and goes every home game to his local club now.

Aye. I think my closest league club now is actually Oldham, keep meaning to get over for one of their fixtures at some point. FC United of Manchester even closer, for non-league. And plenty others to pick from as you say.

Always found the whole 'second-club' thing weird though and picking up a new team to support somewhat arbitrarily just feels odd to me. As much as it's infuriating sometimes, LCFC is still in the blood and it's going to feel weird supporting anyone else :sweating:

Guilty no not renewing? Why don’t you spin that

fans should feel guilty FOR renewing, as you are food for the fungus. Literally fertilising the rot.

The reason why there isn’t any change and we are sleep waking to league 1 and the club are about to capitulate is because we aren’t making enough noise that the fanbase aren’t happy and demand change. The circus continues.

for ref, I was a ST last year and didn’t renew due to the above reasons and wanting my club back

But who noticed?

I have a friend who has a box. He says the boxes either side are not unoccupied for the first time he can remember and it seems others are as well.

Nobody at the club is taking notice. There MUST be a drop in revenue from vacant boxes and ST's not being renewed that you'd think whoever oversees this income stream would be saying something to the board.

Maybe they are and the board can't be arsed.

Typical of the apathy that hangs over the whole club

TBH.  Aiyawatt has no interest in us. None at all.

KP should sell unless we're being used for some kind of tax avoidance in Thailand in which case there could also be a link to the dodgy BC sponsorship.

What do we know what goes on?
