Those of us who didnt renew their season tickets this time around - are you feeling guilty ?

Did not renew this season, I made my mind up about that towards the end of last season.

Fed up with the game overall to be honest for many various reasons. I still love the club and always will, just not many of these current players though and certainly no real love for those above them.

You haven't missed much. It's basically last season, we're just in a league so devoid of quality that we've somehow spawned four (!) wins, only one of which you could say we really deserved (Birmingham). Despite all that, we've been well beaten twice and spaffed so many points away on draws that the looming points deduction could put us into a relegation scrap. Again.

It's still largely the same spineless wastemen who let you down repeatedly last season, we still have the same DOF, we still have a complete lack of vision, we still play gobshite possession all-fart-no-shit football.  And we're now being found out, as many predicted we would. You've saved yourself money - the only thing keeping me, and I presume a lot of others, going is the matchday ritual and seeing friends and family I wouldn't otherwise see regularly in person.

Feel like pure shit man, I just want my Leicester back.

Which I've been able to do without handing money to King Power for what it's worth.

Gave up, member since the days you could get into the terracing at the front of the main stand at filbo for a couple of quid as a kid, ST for around 15 years. Used to be absolutely buzzing to go and watch games, even in the Pleat years always looked forward to it. Brian Little years were superb. Even as recently as Rennes away it felt great to be there. Since then over the last three seasons it’s become more and more of a chore to go, poor atmosphere, fans getting at each other regularly, nothing to get you off your seat on the pitch. No excitement left for it. Hate what we’ve become, terrible ownership, no morals at all with shirt sponsor, pricing people out of going, horrendous attitude towards supporter communication. Doesn’t feel like the club I invested so much energy into.

Don’t miss not going at all and not paying to go there while KP in charge. Have watched on and off on TV but as other posters have said barely celebrate when we score, not really arsed when we concede. What a pity after 40 plus years supporting the club there’s absolutely no joy left.

This nails it for me. Very similar to me and almost exactly how I feel.

I've said on here before about falling out of love with the sport.

Not renewing this year was an easy decision for me as I haven't been going as much anyway for the above reason. Don't get me wrong I still love the team and watch on TV, but I no longer shell out 70 quid for match day, I spend 7 quid on 4 cans from the shop, sit with both my dad and kids and watch the game.

As others have said, no joy or anger when we score or concede it's just a show now.

Puel and then Brendan took alot of joy out of football for me. Winning the FA cup was amazing and the high place finishes were good to see, but the football became stale and boring, counting on one hand the amount of times you'd be out your seat during a game and one of those was to go for a piss.

Compare that to years ago when we would be up and down constantly as we got the ball and we attacked. The new style of football which most teams try and play now, doesn't have that and personally I feel the sport loses a lot because of it.

I get the tacticians love to see it and watch it but for me, I want excitement, I want joy from watching the team play, I'd rather lose 2 nil having a go than draw 1-1 playing the shite we are now.

I gave mine up for this season and told myself i wasnt going to give a toss what LCFC did this year. I find myself weakening every so often sneaking a peak at the league table and catching the odd few minutes of champo roundups if i get in late on a saturday night. Seeing where we are after the latest result I am feeling guilty for not really caring but then i remind myself the utter shit served up against wolves, brentford et al last season just did my head in. I will make a conscious effort to sit through 90 minutes against derby on ITV in december and that will be my first taste of watching us "live". If they dont serve up some kind of entertainment and display that they give a shit then that is me done for the season. I really want to give a shit but they are not making it easy. Anyone else feeling guilty ? Please dont come at me and tell me i am not a true supporter - i was a season ticket holder for mclintocks one season of misery - i didnt think it could get worse than that but last season topped it. I didnt return as a season ticket holder until brian little turned up - i dont want to go that long again as i am 64 and dont have that many years left in me lol!

I'm  same age you ,and I don't remember  feeling as pissed as I do now when I watched  that season. In fact had some cracking  away days. Must be an age thing .

started watching Leicester in 1979 and like a lot of older ones we’ve seen quite a bit of the good and the bad times

But the last 2 relegations was easily the worst in memory, the lack of fight in the team was glaring and it doesn’t help having a board that is so distant from the fans

it’s such a hard watch, the only excitement is watching Monga and Fatawu

Honestly cannot remember the last game where I came away thinking I really enjoyed that

Ive still got my ST, and still go down, I can understand why others gave  there’s up , the excitement has gone

Gave mine up this season, don't feel guilty in the slightest. I still watch the games but cannot justify giving the club any more money.

We need to change and fans need to vote with their feet but I understand why some won't.

Clubs a mess but the head needs cutting off and until it is I won't go again

When I look back on nights like walking up the steps and seeing all the silver and gold flying about in the build up to the Napoli game, and then see what it’s like now.  It’s like two diffferent worlds.

It’s such a sad state to see.

I renewed but continue to find attending games a chore. I've missed 3 home games already this season (only 1 by choice) and I've not been bothered by it for a single second on any occasion. It's only a matter of time before I cancel the DD. My head tells me too, and increasingly, so does my heart

Just glad I could give someone else the chance to go regularly when I'd stopped being able to, I guess.

Delighted the current board aren't getting my money. So many lads I remember from League One aways who feel like the club have just given up on them. King Power are grim.

Yes I’m exactly the same.

I don't feel guilty and neither should you. I love LCFC, always have and always will, but I don't love KPFC and the utter shambles this club has become.

If you feel guilty just remember, you've not turned your back on LCFC you've turned your back on this shocking owner and his board of clowns. The club was here long before them and will be here long after them, so long as they don't run it into liquidation.

Better days will come, but there's nothing to feel guilty about not wanting to waste time or money on a complete circus!

Not bothered one bit. Having been an ST holder for over 40 years I felt that I'd done my bit. Seen them win all there was to win, then to see the latter years of the Rodgers reign and subsequent managers way of playing I completely lost any interest in us  Feel that this season despite many fans expectations that we are worse than ever.

Simply don't care anymore, such a shame as I used to really enjoy going. Just not interested anymore.

I renewed, and have barely been.

Where as before my schedule revolved around our fixtures, i only go now if i have absolutely nothing better to do.

In fact, there's been some games where i could have gone, but instead cut the losses on my ticket and just stayed at home and watched on TV. Much less effort than wasting the time and petrol driving to the stadium to watch these bunch of muppets attempt to play football and can switch off at any point.

Think i am clinging on to past enjoyment, and the glimmer of hope that better times are ahead,  but close to just canning the whole thing and this club offers me absolutely zero enjoyment or pride currently.

Read the thread title and came here to say pretty much exactly this tbh. Missed loads of home games last season and already skipped two this.

Midweek games hold no attraction to me at all at the moment, and the Portsmouth Saturday night game I zipped through the first half on delay on the telly, promptly falling asleep during the second half.

And the last sentence is key - that's what's keeping me attached. The what if. If I walk away and 2015-2017 happens again, if we win a cup, if we do something special I'll feel like I missed out. Sure, I could try and come back, but 700+ priority points gone, having to fight for a season ticket if the spark came back.

I genuinely admire people who have pulled the cord. If I'd had more gusto I'd have done it last summer. This season might just do it...

Also didn't renew, to be honest if we'd stayed up I probably wouldn't have renewed anyway - too many crap kick-off times now and the trains too expensive to go up 20 times a year.

I said I'd only do aways this season. If I feel guilty about anything it's giving them the membership money.

No I don't. Last year was about the worst season I can remember. There was no fight. The games predictable. I have supported Leicester for a long time. 45 years plus. I have known bad times but I have never felt as fed up with the team as I did last season. I thought we would struggle this season and was initially surprised at how we played but it seems now that they are performing as expected. We have some real dross/bad apples and until they are gone we are stuck. The structure above the team needs to change as that impacts what happens on the pitch. Top ought to admit he is not up to it and bring in some help. JR is part of the problem. He has to be, yet he remains in place and allowed to make further errors. Interesting Brendan has left Celtic. A bit like how things ended here. He did a fair bit of damage and if he had been sacked sooner we would have stayed up, of that I am sure.

Not sure I particularly agree on the first two years of Brendan - at one point we Ricardo and chilwell on top form joining attacks we were about the most exciting team in the league - but in general I 100% agree with what you're saying about the tactics that are wrecking the sport as a whole. Football is just turgid to watch most of the time now. I am starting to see some green shoots elsewhere though, a fightback away from 11 behind the ball, 11 passing backwards and sideways, so maybe in the next few years we'll get the sport back.

Very similar ... I started watching city in 1975  .. some highs and lows along the way and some great memories... but now I find it very difficult to raise my expectations for any game ... its dull and boring... no talking points ... the style is killing it ... watched the Cardiff game last night and Bryan Murphy is assembling a young exciting team ... how far it will get I don't know but the intent is clear to see ... if city don't get a grip soon and play with style, passion and intensity... the empty seats will grow ... and like a lot have already said ... they don't miss it and won't come back ... why would they ? to pay good money to be bored sh1tless

Surely it’s pretty obvious that there won’t be much guilt or regret of those who have not renewed their season ticket whilst the team isn’t playing well. If we were flying high and playing great football then this thread would barely have any comments. When the team eventually start playing well again people will want to come back. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I still enjoy going even if it’s just to have a good old collective moan with other fans about the state of our attack/left back options/referees etc etc😂
