Was good to see quite a few spaces yesterday on the TV. It was also noticeable to see the director section empty along with the corporate around the tunnel. The blue seats with white tops standing out.

Just need more of the same from the happy clappers

People going on about a protest and yet, here is the route of the problem.  Top and co and directors the people any protest should be aimed at aren't even there themselves.  Simply given up.  When was the last time Top and his entourage actually attended a game.

Sums up the apathy running through the club.

We play slow, dire turgid football.  Players don't know the meaning of a quick forward decisive pass.  Its, wash, rinse and repeat slow, sideways and backward crap.

Top and the board are complicit in all this shit yet none are ever there.

You stop going.

For me you can still go, because in the end I see thousand enjoying the "day out" with friends and family.

What I advocate is buying NOTHING from the club for a week or a fortnight or month, its a challenge, but no merch from the shop, not food or beer, NOTHING

You hit them in the pocket and they may react???

We've had marches etc before achieved nothing or very little.

They are a commercial business, a big short term reduction in revenue with the possibility of more may have some impact.

Its an option.........

I still saw people in the stands having been down the shop yesterday, I'm buying nothing off them but my season ticket

That option would require a large amount of fans to take part before they would even notice any change, a protest outside or inside the ground doesnt need many to participate to make be noticed.

And it becomes a catalyst for further disquiet within the fanbase, then starts to spread to more passive elements.

This might be a rubbish idea.

its on tv and they do their HT analysis in the studio.Usually, most go to the concourse for p!ss  beer and pie.

Boycott the concourse and chant during HT

This might grab their attention that something is going on whilst their is no game to commentate on.

Yes,they could easily ignore it,but again it could attract attention.

On Sky Sports plus so no studio analysis I believe unfortunately.

Just an idea people should make banners if there's loads good luck stopping them all, fold them down as small as you can to get them in. Sack the board and Rudkin out banners.

People get banned for bringing banners in even if they aren’t abusive. Mass banners is a good idea

People saying don’t buy tickets……

21,000 season ticket holders have already paid! 3,000 go to away supporters (in general). That’s 24,000 tickets already sold out of 32,000. Three quarters of the ground!

Chants can be drowned out on TV, (and already are!) most of TV crowd noise is from speakers near away fans….

Chanting is to a certain extent futile.

We need something that will hit the mainstream media, so the message gets out to the rest of the country, and embarrasses the owners / board.

Disrupting the game is most effective, but  needs to be done in an orchestrated way, by lots of fans en masse, so that individuals can’t be targeted for bans from the stadium.

A mass walkout is usually covered by the media aswell, but tends to be most effective when fans attend, then all leave again in an orchestrated way.

I’d still got for the former though. Disrupt the game at a set time, possibly twice. Get the game stopped for at least a good few minutes. That always gets shown on TV / the news. Let the whole footballing world know that our fanbase is unhappy with the owners / board.

I agree. Fosseway has said it so succinctly and accurately, we really have become a s**t show in 2/3 years. It started in the final year of Bilbo Rodgers and has (significantly) deteriorated ever since. That more ominous Tolkienesque figure, Rudkin (you can imagine him brooding in Mordor!!) has led us far away from the Shire, towards the darkness. Oh for a Gandalf, to bring us back!

The hilarious thing would be to sing this, we're 5-0 up at half time (I know, but stay with me)... Then we get a quick brace by the 50th min and then they scored?

Do we all walk out? :dunno:

That would be Sod’s Law wouldn’t it. Sing that early on and then we bash in a few goals!!

I suppose that’s a win win actually…

Thought the Sheffield Wednesday empty seat protest was quite effective. Done on a regular basis it might catch on.

Cliff Ginetta and his supporters club used to fascinate me. The Supporters Club was a lifestyle. 1 coach from Hinckley, 2 from Humberstone Gate and 1 bus from Loughborough (fella called Tony Kershaw ran that) . Basically 160 or so punters. Obsessed by City but largely ambivalent to what division we played in or even how we played. Blackburn or Man U. Port Vale or Liverpool. It made no odds to them.

160 then. Give or take..Out of around 12000 home fans. Now we have an easy 8000 and maybe up to 14000 of the same ilk out of 28000 home fans. They don't like us losing. But it don't matter to them.  The club's gone. This type of punter wouldn't protest,. wouldn't object or even raise a question mark if their lives depended on it.

There’s people near me having a go for us booing. It’s a joke. The majority of the fanbase will sit and clap anything.

They’re the ones clapping the Dross and putting up with Bull💩 performances the ones that would be watch us drop into Div1 again saying “ oh well we’ll get back next season !” The ones that will clap the team when it self destructs the team who don’t actually give a Fuch about the fans or the badge on the shirt just happy to play schitt take us down and just pick up a decent wage packet !!

Unless there are buyers waiting in the wings to buy the club, who are willing to commit huge amounts of cash without the assurance of getting it back, and are willing to change the structure of the club to get a proper director of football in, im not sure hounding Top out is all that smart of a move.

But Rudkin absolutely must go to be replaced with a DoF that can negotiate deals.

Allowing him to stay is worse. Look at the trajectory!

Look at the amount of interest in Wednesday.

Wednesday have been flooded with people putting forward formal offers to purchase, many have proven funds of £50m+, I know that's not a huge amount for what we would be worth, but Wednesday need a monstrous amount of investment, if Top put us up for sale, I am confident people would approach.

I dont think theres parallels though in my opinion.

Chansiri was literally running Sheffield Wednesday into the ground because he wanted to get back the investment he put in. So the whole infastructure of the club was left to rot, as well as the squad.

I think with Top, im in a minority but on the business side of things, weve got Seagrave (its produced no success) and hes written off a lot of debt. Hes also still tried to make funds available where possible for managers.

The difference being, he surrounds himself with people who do bad jobs, obviously Rudkin, and he has a hire and fire approach to managers that has no continuity or planning.

I do agree with you that we are getting CLOSE to the Sheffield Wednesday comparison though if he will hang onto ownership expecting to get some sort of return financial or otherwise back without being prepared to invest, OR we continue to see bad boardroom football decisions being made.

I still personally think this squad should be capable of being a LOT better than this, and thats the management and coaching staff. To not be better than Preston North End and Charlton Athletic is terrible.

Better to write off the debt (of his own creation) as it’ll never be paid back. The commercial side is a shambles and Seagrave would have been set in motion by Vichai.

Why don’t all those who have declared their total disdain for City, and who are advocating a protest, rock up on Tuesday, and stage a sit-in on the pitch to make their point. They will be banned but it won’t matter as they don’t go anyway, but would have practised what they keep preaching.

Can certainly see a defeat against 'boro but if we lose against Norwich who can't buy a win at Carrow Road, surely, surely, something has to happen.

Well it’s not going to make top sell up or Rudkin go. It’ll be the manager as the fall guy but that’s what’ll probably happen

There is always buyers ready in waiting.

Rudkin is joined at the hips with Top, make your mind up, its either they both stay, or they both leave.  Cant sit on the fence on this one.
