I've never watched Aluko play but i'd rather we gave the lad a go on the off chance he might be slightly better than Kristiansen or Thomas. It's not like it's a high bar.

Will it? Some will boo, some will clap regardless. I don't think we've got toxic in us, certainly not like you would see from other fanbases such as Everton.

You could have a bit of sympathy with Cifuentes if he tried to do anything slightly differently.

 

Instead it's a stilted 4231 every week. 

Slow, ponderous build up that is easy to defend against every week.

90% similar line ups with proven failures every week.

 

There's no hint of trial end error with playing say Fatawu on the left to mix things up, 3 at the back, a proper DM in midfield or 2 up front. We'll play the same style, a similar line up and expect a different result against Middlesborough. 

 

You could just about excuse these defeats if we were building towards something with a youthful team but instead we have the 13th lowest average age! The problems are way above the manager but he is the latest in a long line of issues. Nelson, Aluko, Page are no worse than these twats and if they're played will be better (probably already are) in a years time.

My dogs not got a lot going on between his ears .... but he's got enough to know that he's got better things to do ... like crapping all over the grass.... but the again I have to watch a load of crap on the grass but it's at the KP

Aluko does have a defensive brain fart in him but he's far more athletic, technical, and stronger than Kristiansen and Thomas, also makes better runs off the ball. I just cant understand his exclusion, he's one of the most threatening players in our u21s whilst being a defender yet he's not getting a shot when we dont create chances.

As I say, I don't think i've seen the lad play.

 

But one thing that needs to chance is we need to start backing our wingers up with fullbacks.

 

Sick of seeing Ricardo hiding in midfield and the left back holding Vestergaards hand.

Ironicall, i think Bobby at 10 with no Soumare / Skipp is the best of the worst. That way James can play in his best position. I still hate saying that though.

The options are stop, don't, and just **** them off. Stop playing players who either don't care or have contributed to 1, and some 2 relegations now.

I agree, but we do have to name 11 players  

 

The swamp didn't get drained. We only sold/released our best players.
