I always find it weird that this meat takes no account of the life of the animal and it's suffering and cruel life just a tick box to play a recording from the koran and to slit it's throat and let the animal die slowly.

 

As usual more care is given to death than life.

Quite true. My cotton socks always feel more comfortable than socks made from synthetic blends - for the same reason.

Obvs Evington stopped from being an English village suburb years ago along with Belgrave. Spinney Hills. Hamilton, Humberstone 

 

More recently Oadby has fallen. Birstall. Wigston. Welford Road. Obvs Narbourgh Road/West End tho that's always been changeable tbf. 

 

Aylestone is on its way. I've no idea as I don't visit this side of town much but I'd guess Thurmaston and Syston are being chipped away at. Glenfield and New Parks have very recently started the inevitable slide into becoming India.  

 

Leaves maybe Blaby, LFE, Braunstone, Anstey, Groby as the last remaining English suburbs.

Coincidentally, this place is the only eating establishment I’ve ever been thrown out of 😂

 

Sat in there for about an hour waiting for my food, they finally bring it out and it’s the wrong meal, I pointed this out (probably in an extremely pissy way after the wait) and the owner comes out, grabs my food and tells me to **** off 😂

Las Vegas fish bar for me. In the gaffer's defence while I waited for me fishcake I was goading him about having to go in only because TJ's down the road had closed down

Of course being on this side of the pond, haven't been to Grimsby fisheries in years as I typically spend time in Chesterfield area when I do visit. Last time I had them was like 2006 and it was great compared to the disgraceful versions we have over here. I suppose any chippy in the UK is better than what you get here so the bar is low.

 

Just thinking of how good you guys have it over there makes me want to fly over. 

 

Never ever order fish and chips when you come to Canada. Stick to poutine. Lol

Ok, two quick things  1. This post is about a chippy. The halalification of a chippy isn't English, no.

 

2. A lament that I'm watching the entire urban area of Leicester turn brown, turn Sikh, turn Hindu, turn Muslim isn't unreasonable. It's not a pine for the good old 1950s. Just think it's a bit of a a shame to see a culture completely change. Itd feel the same regret  to see Mumbai being totally white and having Greggs, Spoons and McDonald's everywhere.
