They'll just appoint another shit manager. Things won't get any better until they're gone so we might as well just suffer it out until that happens.

I've come to the conclusion that Top would only sell the club once its back in the Prem.

He would get a valuation large enough to convince him then.

Any valuation right now would be deemed "too low" for Top.

Exactly this. Hate the divisive rhetoric around it too, as if saying the manager should go makes anyone insightful and wise (its kinda if obvious that things are a mess).

Agree more severance, more financial issues. Do I think another manager could do better with this bunch of miscreants? Yes, possibly. But this is the third attempt and no faith they will get it right on a fourth attempt.

Interesting thing about today is we also missed two 1 on 1 chances. JJ clean through - straight At the keeper and Abdul skyed it..

I wonder if those had gone in, there’d be a different tone in here tonight towards Marti and some others..

Spot on. We can't pay a manager off every three months because he can't turn Skipp and Daka into De Bruyne and Haaland

Not likely, he started Ayew and some refuse too see past such selections.

Remember two seasons ago when we gave championship teams easy chances and they consistently issued them.  That’s us now

It's just a waste of money that apparently we don't have.    I have no confidence whatsoever in Rudkin or Top  hiring any one better.

Changing managers without addressing our recruitment or transfer policy will change nothing.

We were largely shit. But that winner was delicious. Proper tasty.

im not saying we were great, but we had 65% possession with 14 shots and 7 on target compared to their 8 and 3 on target.

we also missed two 1on1s - JJ and Fatawu.

as uninspiring  as we were at times, we were  the better team. Not often we get to say that!

I can forgive Marti for his selections until he gets a transfer window where he can bring in 'his players'.

Our squad must be so frustrating for our managers. When you go through the players and list their international caps or previous success it's shocking that no one can get a tune out of them. But I've got to a point where I recognise if Rogers, Smith, Enzo (we had a very long blip that let Leeds get close), Cooper, and Ruud can't get them playing then what hope has Marti got.

We've just got to see this season out and then roll the dice in the transfer market when a number of this squad will have moved on. Imagine having Winks, Soumare, Vesteguard and Faas's wages off the books. Those players travel in daily and have no love for Leicester. Wearing the shirt is simply work for them.

So I'm Marti in. My emotions immediately after a poor performance make me want to make a change but I just don't see the benefit. I see Marti as a bit of a Puel. A steady hand that is going to install some non negotiables. A foundation builder.

The clue is in the number. an 8 plays in the hole or behind the Striker on the right which used to be called an inside right.  But systems have changed.

A 10 similar on the left. But a lot depends on the sytem being used.  Where they play depends on where the ball is as players are expected to do more these days.

Not quite the self titled clever fox are you?

Needs to try and make it uncomfortable for those he doesn't want then, because he isn't going to get his players whilst we have a squad as big as it is

I politely disagree.

I just don't think we can afford to not get something out of them while they are our players. I also don't think he can rely on them either. But it will get to a point when they will have to pull their fingers out to secure the moves they want.

I think Faas has an agreement for January hence why he isn't playing as injury would risk whatever is in place.

If those out of contract (in the Summer) want wages like they are on at Leicester they are going to have to prove they are worth them.

Remember Hoolahan scoring against us a few years ago with a header at the KP.........He must have been the smalest player on the pitch!

Sounds about right. Craig Dawson scoring an overhead kick to kill our champions league dreams also sticks out for me lol

Well maybe you'll enighten me I'm always willing to learn.

Perhaps your explanation was true in the days of inside rights and inside lefts in the early days of football but it hasn't been like that for decades.

A number 10 nowadays refers to the 'trequartista' type position that somebody like Riquelme played. It's between the oppositions midfield and defence. It usually doesn't have much defensive duty attached to it. For Leicester the closest we've had was Okazaki playing behind Vardy, though he worked a lot harder than your usual number 10.

A number 8 is usually considered to be a box to box midfielder. Think Gerrard, who literally wore number 8, early Roy Keane, Bryan Robson.

He's going to be waiting a long time for the transfer window you mentioned then isn't he, which is what my post was in response to

Nope. My mind is firmly made up. And we will be back to square one in a couple of weeks.
