I’m so in the middle with him, I can understand why fans want him gone but I also can’t help but think he’s got a hard job with some of the players who’s hearts are clearly not in it.

oh and also the striker options are atrocious

I am still neutral, but I think there is an entitlement right now, we dont want to become watford changing managers twice a year, because we think we should be at a certain level.  I think some are struggling to accept we have messed up, and our budget, scouting, football operations are just not at the level they think they are.

I know it might be hard to take in, but we have issues above the manager that are higher priority.

I honestly don't think it matters

It is the players attitude that depends how we play and the last three managers don't appear to be able to influence that.

I don't think he has done enough for me to say yes I want to keep him, but I am far from the Marti out group too

We appear to go defensive in the second half too much when winning, and drop far too deep, but is that His tactics or the players just expecting the worse and getting nervous after such a poor season

Yeah you’re right, the first team manager of a football club isn’t important at all.

Meh! I was never Marti out. Our problems are all above him

Definitely. Not sure why so many are unable to comprehend this. The very fact that he was appointed owes in part to this. However, his problems are below him as well in the sense that a proportion of the team that he presides over don't give the remotest **** about the club they are supposed to be playing for. May his purges continue.

But up until recently he hasn't been serious about the purge himself to absolve himself from the problems above him or below him on the playing pitch.

True. He has shown too much faith in players that should be delivering and he regards as adding technical merit/value. Why? I'm recalling when Winks for example was introduced away at Oxford and the immediate impact he made or came back into the side after an insipid mf of Soumaré and Skipp. As others have pointed out, now that his head is on the block, he isn't about to rest his future prospects at the club upon disruptive, uncommitted individuals irrespective of their ability.

I bet he's raging that he didn't bin Winks and Faes earlier. The championship is a dog fight and you need all your players giving 100% if you want to win games and that's what we are now starting to see. Regardless of this season, so long as we don't get relegated (which is highly unlikely even with a points deduction) we'll be in a better position next summer with no Winks, Faes, Soumare and Daka. A good chunk of wages and poor performance/attitude being moved out of the club!

I maintain mid table and sorting our dismal financial situation is an adequate outcome, we’ve not got a pot to piss in and a load of overpaid shite, I never ever thought we’d compete for automatic promotion this season.

I’m indifferent about Cifuentes but the idea that sacking him will radically change things without a clear forward plan is braindead.

I was about where you are after Derby but tonight has just proved he’s way out his depth. Been trying to be as patient has possible but that was embarrassing.
