Can't really believe any of you are Leicester fans.  You all moan about the team being negative and are totally  negative about everything else

What do you mean?  That is basically the job description.

I haven't got a mortgage but will bet the equivalent of someone else's mortgage on an Ipshit win here.

I didn't know we could do that!

I bet Brendan Rodgers' house

This time last week we were all feeling incredibly negative on the back of two consecutive games in which we’d been 3-0 down at half time. Since then the team has massively improved its first half performances, which have brought us four points from two difficult away games. Obviously it would be better for us to perform over 90mins rather than just 45, but overall there has been a very clear improvement from the Southampton and Sheffield Utd games. Yet the general view seems to be that Ipswich only need to show up today to get the three points. That second half on Wednesday night really has left a few people with serious PTSD…:o

The problem is we’ve shown no consistency at all.

Like you’ve pointed out, everything has been in spells, Coventry, Birmingham and Swansea are the only three games k can think of that we’ve been consistent over 90 minutes. Our lack of consistency throughout the season just doesn’t provide any evidence that we will manage to win today.

Ipswich have the blueprint to beat us comfortably, be aggressive, some out quickly, attack Luke Thomas and you’ll get a goal fairly quickly.

The score line on Tuesday didn't really reflect the balance of the first half in my opinion. My main concern now is that the standard that Marti is happy with, is to not get battered and hope we take our chances lol

If we turn up with that attitude against one of the more dangerous teams in the league then it'll be a long old afternoon. I think the pattern of the game will depend on how McKenna treats the first half. If James doesn't start then there's absolutely no reason not to get at us as we'll have nobody to connect the defence and attack.

Ipswich need to turn up and go for it if they want to beat us, if they come up and give us too much respect then we have every chance of getting something.

Based on the fact we seem to like having equal numbers across all columns, today should be a loss though haha.

What are the odds we kick off and somehow end up deep in our own half within seconds

Whatever they are put your mortgage on it.

Apparently.

I've noticed this at home games, have a look at the Sheff Utd game.

When we get a kick-off at home, we ought to get it down to one of the corners and pin them in, start on the right foot.

They can’t help themselves sending it all the way back. The amount of times we have it near the corner flag or outside the box, all it takes is someone to actually cross quickly but it gets to Thomas and recycled.

Ricardo is now useless and boring, Thomas useless and boring and JV the cause of the tempo.

Any team just has to press JV, he panics and do his stupid roll and its chaos. All the shit Faes deservedly gets, it distracts it from this clown who is the main root of the dross on the pitch.

There will be a lot of space today where the full backs bomb forwards with ease.  We won’t exploit it, instead Ricardo will be slow and send it back to JV who has to pass to Ayew in the middle.

Ricardo passing quickly to JJ who knocks it into space where Fatawu is already running should be bread and butter in this league.

Reid has already shown he knows where to be and find space in the box. Mav floats on the edge of the box and Ayew looks for scraps.

Basics but sadly we have RNIB as the management team.

Ipswich are one of those clubs that are media darlings due to some success decades ago. Nonentities in reality such as the likes of Sunderland, Notts Forest and even Cov.

I think its a combination of being truly terrible to not good enough to finish the job, that means we've all been angry, even if its for different reasons.

Regardless of whether we are so bad we will get relegated to the 3rd tier for the second time in our history, which given the threat of points deductions and the form we showed against Southampton and Sheffield -.its not a possibility I'm going to discount just yet. (The squad we had was too good to go down from the Premier League (the time before last season), but we still went down.

Or we battle hard for 45 minutes and then go to sleep/ seemingly struggle in the second half and watch any lead disappear. Whichever way we're playing it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Managed properly we should be winning most games given our squad. Its not got the same pedigree we've been used to lately, but we have good youth team players coming through and player for player we should be beating most teams. But some of the players that should be leading and influencing the squad in a positive way, just aren't. There is something toxic in our squad, and the club as a whole.

As fans we feel this. It drags us down.

As fans we're becoming used to seeing our squad underperform for at least 45 minutes of football each week (sometimes longer) and its making supporting Leicester feel like we're watching VAR, unable to truly celebrate when we score because there is an inevitably that moments later it won't mean much, as we concede at the other end.

We need a run of good form to get everyone to start believing again. The fans, the players, and I think even the manager.

You know the ball will go backwards quite quickly. Then Jakub will pass to Vestergaard, who will stand on the ball, get pressed and we will fart around for a bit and we lose the ball. This sets the tone for the first half.

“Over the past two games I have noticed an improvement”

In games where we went 3-0 up an 2-0 up we faced 40 odd shots,  is that the only hope of getting points then because that sort of scoring form wont last long

Rinse and repeat. It’s frustrating to watch when the winger is unmarked but JV has to control the tempo create chaos.
