Might be enough to make the KPFC lot turn!!! They will be banking on that free beer and mince pie as they haven’t picked up their MnS meal deals and have given the thermos a day off….. could get violent.

Surely all that was given free? Small marketing cost to the beer company

Maybe. I guess yeah, if it literally wasn’t costing the club anything, it’s quite eye opening either way.

Either, the club did pay for it and can’t afford it. Or they paid for it and have just decided not to bother. Either way, not a good argument for the foot soldiers who defend them on the basis of their generosity (citing the give away at games).

Or it doesn’t cost the club and is given for free to them as you suggest. In which case, not doing it is another reason to suggest they are pissed off with the fans. And it makes the generosity argument fall down if the club have never actually paid for it!

A garbled way of putting these thoughts down but ultimately, nothing that reflects very well.

I don’t think it’s a sign we are skint, I saw something in the FAB minutes a few months ago that the perception was free beer is a negative as some people don’t want beer 😂

That sounds so ridiculous that I feel I might have dreamt it.

Surely they could knock up 32,000, sorry, 23,000 gingerbread filberts, less than 50p a head, they could take it from the players fines for being late / sh**e, cover the packaging with corporate branding and see if as an advertising loss leader.

The £5 Chang, is like me yesterday saying to my  nephew, I hope you like this jumper, it should be £7 but give me a fiver and we’ll call it quits. Happy Christmas!!

It was never a gift.

It is a marketing activation by club partners.

They have simply made a decision not to do it this year. Maybe they've realised that gifting their piss doesn't make fans any more likely to buy it.

Can we please squash this theory that it has been a 'gift' from Top?

Let's be honest .... if Chang was on offer in your local would you buy it ... or prefer to lick the urinals in the men's toilets
